Technically it snows Austria in the last 20s early 30s when it was a catholic conservative government, and although they were a decent gov they kept thwarting the desire for a unification with Germany by calling snap polls and pulling stunts like only making polling stations where you could vote against unification, the pro German Austrian foreign minister protested and a coup took place in which national socialists killed Dolphuss (the Austrian leader) then the poll went ahead and in 1938 the Anschluss took place, the election was likely rigged to make the result look as good as possible (97%) but in reality the majority of Austrians wanted the unification, and Austrian troops ceremonially entered Munich and Dresden as German troops entered Vienna greater by flowers. Because this vid shows the gov that was opposed to the evil godforsaken devilish Germans, it’s politically correct and his probs why it’s still up…. Although I’m surprised TH-cam didn’t look at those stahlhelms and immediately ban the vid which is what usually happens
@@aeroflot7216 What's the point of this statement? Austrians are Germans. Ethnic Germans, they speak German, their culture is German. Originally Austria was part of Bavaria and Bavarians are also German. If you don't know how to defined Germans then that's your problem. Austrians are Germans in an Autonomous State a German state. Little funfact the Republic of Austria was originally supposed to be called the German Republic of Austria but the Versailles Treaty banned it.
