'Just kept time'. I don't think so. He wrote "Radio Ga Ga", "These are the Days of Our Lives", "Sheer Heart Attack" " A Kind of Magic" and others. Also Taylor's falsetto was/is crucial to their sound - particularly as evidenced in songs like "Bohemian Rhapsody." Imagine how "Somebody To Love" would sound without his high-pitched vocals. There are many other examples - plus he is a very good drummer obviously. I saw Queen twice live; at Milton Keynes Bowl 1982 and Wembley 1986. They sounded as good - if not better - than on record. Quality ran through the whole band. They all made huge contributions. No-one 'just kept time/just sang/just played lead - rhythm.' etc. That is one of the things that made them so great.
Roger has a fine voice and could be the lead singer of any decent band; he just so happened to be in a band with one of the greatest singers around, that's all. And he didn't just keep time; his backing vocals were an integral part of the Queen sound and he wrote some monster hits...not too bad for the drummer in a rock and roll band.
This was terrific! Great to be able to see it! Thank you so much!! Enjoyed it!!❤❤❤❤ So nice to see Roger looking and sounding so good!!!
It really felt like listening to Roger's voice in the 1980's Queen song "Rock it (Prime Jive)" from "The Game" album! Wow!
Love that song

Roger Taylor is the best, simple as that & I love his suit👍

So very well stated!!
@@darlataddeo6376 Thank you!
It’s a shame they always pre record it and pretend it’s live! This was recorded on 19 December 🤷♂️
funn fact :
there are two names of Roger Taylor who play drum.
1. Roger Taylor from Queen
2. Roger Taylor from Duran Duran
😅
They admire each other
But there’s only one Roger Meddows Taylor
Let only music caress your hearts & never let any evil dare to harm you guys ❤🎉❤
Mr taylor ❤
Roger and Brain are very underrated as lead singers. Check out the songs they sing on early queen albums.
Under pressure 🎶 😊😊😊
Nice One x....
Havnt watched jools since 2020
👍👍

❤ Bob Geldof
the security guy gets a credit but no credits for the orchestra members!
Boogie woogie😊😮😮😮
John Deacon is sorely missed....
But hugely respected, I'd say, just as much as Rog and Bri
Only in concert Rog? Sure you haven't sung it in the shower! 😅
This truly pissed meof
Destroyed this prog is always recorded has been for years !!
Maybe all these people have family things to do on NYE!
LAME!😂
You're cool
That's why Freddie did the singing and Roger just kept time.
Well true. Tough Roger is (or was idk?) an awesome vocalist. Better check out his falsetto from like 70s or something

@danielpaul3014 perfect response.
Tell me you know nothing about Queen without saying you know nothing about Queen
Roger has a fantastic voice and it’s great to see he hasn’t lost it, even though he’s not that far off 80 years old. Pretty amazing, I’d say! ❤
The only person who likes hearing Roger Taylor sing is Roger Taylor.
And me
And me.
And me
What a staggeringly misguided statement
Roger Taylor is a great singer. Have you never heard 'Bohemian Rhapsody', you idiot?
