The aircraft is in 16 R (reserve) squadron based at Lossiemouth. I worked on 16 squadron (The Saints) in the eighties when we had Buccaneers out in Germany. I even worked on the replacement aircraft of the Buccaneer the Tornado. One of my last detachments was Goose Bay and one of the Tornado's belonged to 16 squadron. All three were good aircraft and I'll always remember nearly being blown over by two 2 squadron Jaguars while crossing the access road between squadrons on my bike. These were also based at the same German base that 15 and 16 squadrons were stationed RAF Laarbruch.
