I'm so happy to find messianic Judaism. I have always been interested in Judaism because Jesus was a Jew and followed Judaism and loved his faith and his people! Never went to a synagogue because I'm a white Christian woman. However I've had issue with the Christian faith because Jesus did not intend to create a new religion and it is so heavily influenced by Roman's and pagans to pull people in. Big issues for me was changing the sabbath to Sunday. So no religion has felt 100% right. I'm so excited cause this feels so right. I feel being a non Jew I will still be welcomed to learn and love and worship as Jesus did and as Jesus is calling me to!

@@carchick7545 Excellent false witness! Don't you people understand Jewish history? The history of the Tanakh and New Testament???!!!
Christianity is NOT a "new faith." The "new apostate faith" is actually rabbinical Judaism, created by the pharisees after the destruction of the temple in 70 AD. There is no oral torah in the Tanakh.
The New Testament is 100% pure Judaism, and *Messianic Jews believe in the New Testament,* and iconsider it just as inspired as the Tanakh. So where is this "new" religion this person speaks of? No where.
There is NO difference THEOLOGICALLY between Christianity and Messianic Judaism. None whatsoever. As a matter of fact, when the Jews finally recognize Him "whom they have pierced," Christians and Messianic Jews become one big family. And I'm not saying that Messianic Jews "convert" to Christianity. They do not. They remain just as "Jewish" as they always were. They merge theologically. Under Yeshua.
Even Messianic Jews will tell you that. They also call themselves "Christians" in the sense that "Christian" just means "Christ Follower." Simple as that.
The New Testament was not influenced by "pagans and Romans." That is so false! The New Testament was written ENTIRELY BY Jews, FOR Jews and ABOUT Jews. Period. The New Testament is 100% pure Judaism, the seamless continuation and fulfillment of the Tanakh. Again, even Messianic Jews will tell you this and they believe wholeheartedly in the New Testament.
So where is this "pagan" religion you speak of? No where.
The person you SHOULD be identifying with is RUTH. A GENTILE who accepted Judaism and is even the GENTILE ancestor of King David and Yeshua Himself!

I am a Christian, also grew up in New Jersey, and I've seen no difference THEOLOGICALLY between Christianity and Messianic Judaism. The first "Christians" WERE the Messianic Jews. The "Nazarenes." What is fascinating is the HISTORY of Messianic Judaism/Christianity and Rabbinical Judaism. And how the festivals and traditional holidays (ie; Easter vs Passover) split.
Messianic Jews do NOT "convert" to Christianity. On the contrary, they profess to become MORE Jewish after finding their 100% Jewish Messiah. They continue to go to synagogue, celebrate the traditional Jewish feasts, etc. They REMAIN 100% Jewish and practice JUDAISM. Christians don't have the same *personal connection,* obviously, but Christians still practice the same Messianic Judaism, just with some cultural differences. But not theological differences. It's truly fascinating.
It was the nation of Israel that God decided to give birth to from Abraham and Sarah's descendants. Salvation came out of Zion. It's the most unique culture in the world because GOD created the nation of Israel. The Gentiles come from a different cultural background.
But from **Messianic Judaism/Christianity** comes the "oneness" spoken of in the Tanakh, where all will worship the SAME, ONE TRUE GOD and Yeshua someday. In Messianic Judaism/Christianity, we all become ONE FAMILY.
Where we come from really doesn't matter to God in terms of salvation. All are God's children, Jew and Gentile alike. Especially when you consider the fact that Abraham and Sarah WERE GENTILES, as were Isaac and Jacob (later to become Israel). And Gentiles have always been "grafted in." One of the most prominent ancestors of King David and the Messianic line is RUTH, a Moabite GENTILE. An entire book is dedicated to her.
I guess that I, as a Gentile, identify completely WITH RUTH. 🙂 Ruth's story pretty much sums up my views.
So we are ALL ONE in Christianity/Messianic Judaism, no matter what our ethnic background. Shalom! Shalom!

I've been on a spiritual journey for a couple years now. Trying to find answers to questions, and every answer that I get poses 3 more questions. The biggest problem for me has been reconciling the present day existence of the Jewish faith and Christianity. What is the right way? Am I not living the way im supposed to? And through it all, I've had this feeling that the Jewish people are our closest allies, our brothers at the very least. But this tells me that we aren't brothers, instead WE are one in the same.

As one who is a part of the Messianic movement and has faced similar challenges within my own understanding I would love to discuss that with you 👍🏼. From what I have observed throughout history is that the Jewish religion added to the Torah or God's instructions. Yeshua faced this religious dogma head on while on this earth. He directed the religious elites, who had misused their authority, back to Torah which is what I believe Yeshua intended for us as believers today Jew and non Jew. One body within spiritual Israel. That being said the Western Gentile church today has misplaced the importance of Torah in one's life. I heard it explained once like this "The Jews added whereas the Gentiles took".

All I could say about this is we Gentiles are GRAFTED to the Jewish faith as a WILD Olive, but I think we arent OBLIGATED to follow the Jewish traditions as mandated by Messianic because thise were meant SPECIFICALLY made for Jews.
So we NEED to apply the Romans 14 principle.
As long as we have the MAIN ESSENTIALS of Christianity, then we are all in ONE body of Christ.
If I being a gentile end up following the traditions and laws of Messianic Jew, i'd FAIL misserably. As I dont have ALL understanding of being a Jew.
And for a Jew to become a Christian, its an AMAZING privilege, because that person is now COMPLETE in Christ which a gentile may not have the opportunity.
It truly gives a DEEP meaning if being grafted as an Wild Olive branch for a gentile.

To all the Gentiles who’ve become arrogant, do not forget you have come up to the Mountain of the LORD [in one sense] to whom? The God of Jacob. The God of Israel. To their God and their Messiah. When Yeshua ushers in His Kingdom, Israel will play a role of prominence [Isaiah 60:12] and spiritual leadership over the nations [Isaiah 2:2-5, Zech 8:23] mediating that blessing to the world.
In those days, Rabbinic Judaism and Messianic both agree that Messiah will bring a new Torah, and we shall all walk in the light of the LORD. The believers in Yeshua will be crowned with immortality and an inheritance along with the Jews who are saved. And we shall see a millennium of righteousness, peace and harmony between the nations.
So lest we become arrogant, remember these two passages:
    Ephesians 2:11-13
“Therefore, keep in mind that once you-Gentiles in the flesh-were called “uncircumcision” by those called “circumcision” (which is performed on flesh by hand). At that time you were separate from Messiah, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Messiah Yeshua, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.”
    And Romans 11:17-26
“But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” Quite right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; for if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you, either. Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. And they also, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these who are the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree? For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery-so that you will not be wise in your own estimation-that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved”
Peace be among us brothers and sisters!
[I am a gentile in the flesh]

My daughter became a Messianic Jew when she met her husband who grew up Jewish and later converted. My concern with many of the Messianic Jews is their tendency towards legalism. Jesus said "it is finished" on the cross, not finished when I return. Jesus and the aposltles/disciples were Jewish so under Jewish law until his death. You neglect the rest of the New Testament. In Acts, the question of circumcision came up and determined it was not necessary to become a Christian. Paul admonished Peter when he separated himself from the gentiles when the Judaisers showed up, probably eating bacon with the gentiles. In Romans Paul presents the law as fundamentally flawed because of our inability to follow it. Without Christ we are under law which we can't follow, under Christ he leads us into true righteousness. If you are Jewish and you wish to follow Torah just know you can't, you will fail in one point therefore fail in all. The difference with the legalistic is asserting I am not Christian if I don't go to church on Friday after 6 and until Saturday until 6 which seems to be a big point of contention. I would contend that going to church, synagogue is breaking the sabbath in multiple ways. Interested in your view but do take issue with at least what I know of it.

We do not worship Paul and you bring up Constantine as a straw man while not knowing church history. Paul was 1st century and was acknowledged by Christians including Peter and others. Did Peter worship Paul, NO. Constantine was 4th century and many heresies had occurred before then. Paul declared that he should not be worshipped and his writings are the root of Christianity. I do not think you worship Torah though there are those that do. Worship Christ but worship him in truth not with Old Testament legalism.

    Genesis 12:3, God's Timeless Blessings.
Genesis 12:2 is an interesting fact.
Genesis 12:4 counts Abram as 75 years old, and Genesis 12:3 is when " I will bless them that bless you and curse he that curses you and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed. "
From anyone of those time points, it's close to 1900 centuries, beginning with Genesis 12:1 to Jesus Christ and Paul in Galatians 3:8, where he's admonishing the bewitched Galatians around year 62 a.d.
Fast forward to 1983, when the late great Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, began proclaiming his ministry on Genesis 12:3 and the Isaiah 58 promises.
Prophetically speaking, that 1900 centuries to 1900 centuries seems too parallel close to not being a God timed occurrence.
Another small similarity, Abraham lived right off the road from the ancient King's Highway root that connected the cultural worlds of his day.
Then arrives Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein who soon began proclaiming his ministry through the Christian Television broadcast system that crisscrossed the world cultures of our day.
    Just an acknowledgement for today.
God bless you on your journey!!!

okay so let me explain, Messianic Jews are Christians who realized that in order to fulfill the prophecy of bringing all Jews to God, they must convert all Jews! Now, what happened is that Christians realized Jews were not responding to open missionaries since it was too obvious. So they needed a way to make Jews more responsive to the teaching of Christ. They figured out that saying Messianic Jew (or fulfilled jew) instead of saying a Christian made it easier for Jews to connect with them and listen to the teachings of christ. So these christians who call themselves messianic jews changed their language to sound less threatening and took on the old Testament customs so they can better get into the minds of Jews for the purpose of bringing them to Jesus. This rabbi doesn't want to say it directly but the goal of the Messianic movement is to convert Jews to Christianity. They discovered acting like Jews and dressing like jews in order to make jews trust them helped convert more jews so they blurred the lines between Jewish and Christian which makes it so much easier to convert a jew. Every christian reading this with doubts, the messianic movement believes exactly what you believe but puts a more jewish flavor to it to help "real" jews trust them and come to Christ. Please explain to me if I am correct, rabbi?

The “spirit” is to lead Israel, ISRAEL, back to Torah. The two houses become one. The house of Israel and the House of Judah. This is a covenant made with ISRAEL. If gentiles aren’t following Torah, as written by Moshe, then they aren’t in covenant. The new covenant is a promise that YHVH will write His Torah on Israel’s heart. This hasn’t happened, yet. The two houses haven’t become one, they are still is the diaspora, and Israel is still sinning.

    • @AbrahamsBridges
      @AbrahamsBridges 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@davidsinclair47 Nope. The “House of Judah” is the southern kingdom. They are the Jews (their capital is Jerusalem.) The “House of Israel” is the northern kingdom (their capital is Samaria.) They are known as the “ten lost tribes” of the House of Israel. In the 700’s BCE, the House of Israel fell into Idolatry so bad; and in God’s judgment, He sent the Assyrians to capture them and take them into exile. These were only the northern 10 tribes. Eventually, Judah rebelled as well, and God sent the Babylonians to capture the Jews in the 500’s BCE. In God’s mercy, He sent many, many prophets to warn both kingdoms of impending wrath if they didn’t turn back to God’s covenant and His Torah. In God’s mercy, He gave them the opportunity to repent and return back home. The Jews did repent and they were able to return. However, the house of Israel never repented. They assimilated into the nations. They became Gentiles. They forgot their roots. They forgot the covenant. But the Torah itself has a promise of restoration and for the unity of Israel as a whole. But this can only happen if the descendants of Israel repent and return to the covenant. God says over and over to circumcise the heart and obey His commandments. The purpose of messiah is to find the lost sheep of the house of Israel, teach them to obey God’s commandments, and gather in all of the exiles back to the Primised Land. The covenant has always been open to gentiles. God not only took the United Kingdom of Israel out of Egypt, He also took a “mixed multitude.” As Moses presented the covenant, ALL of the people agreed to it. The gentiles were grafted into Israel. But God has ONE covenant. He has the SAME Torah for the native born and the convert. It’s the constitution of which the world will be governed. “His Torah will go forth from Zion.” Everything will return to its former glory. Even the land will be healed. The land is vitally important. God Himself will circumcise the heart of Israel who rebelled and assimilated into the gentiles. He will turn their heart of stone into a heart of flesh so that they will desire to do His will. This is the NEW covenant. The two kingdoms will become one again.
Unfortunately, Gentiles can’t even recognize that their messiah is a Jew. If He taught any new way of being justified or if he redefined the definition of “righteousness” or if he taught that we no longer needed to obey the commandments, well, he missed his purpose. The Bible defines this as “counseling rebellion” against God and His covenant. It’s a crime worthy of the death sentence. Did Jesus teach against the commandments? Did he counsel rebellion against his Father? Did he teach that he was God? Or did he teach that he and his father are one, like you and I should be one? Did he teach that he came to abolish the law? Did he teach that those who follow a NEW Law, or who trample on the Covenant, will be great in the kingdom? Was he a criminal? Did he teach that he’s the only righteous one and that we would never be able to be righteous enough to please God so why bother trying? Did he teach that men should no longer be circumcised? Did he teach that the Sabbath is no longer a sign between God and His people? Did he teach that he was going to arise from the dead and that would mean that we no longer needed to rest on the seventh day? However, Jesus did speak in parables. This is a Hebrew way. He warned that after he was gone, his testimony would be twisted. He warned about false teachers. The Torah itself warns against false prophets and those who teach to worship new deities, to fear new deities, to obey new commandments, and who teach to disregard the covenant given by Moses. These are all crimes, and it defines SIN. Obedience to Torah defines righteousness. Was Jesus the king of righteousness? Or did he teach us to rebel? The false teacher is the church. The false teacher is Paul, persecutor of the earliest followers of Jesus. Paul taught that the commandments are a ministry of death engraved in stone. He was an evil evil man who was the antichrist. For the most part, Jesus taught to obey his commandments, and if he was a Jew, Gentiles should know which commandments he was talking about. Jesus taught to repent. Well, repent from what? Repent from rebellion against Torah. He said I only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. The house of Israel or the Gentiles don’t know the Torah and don’t know the commandments. The Jews need to teach the Gentiles the Commandments. Jesus is disciples were Jews. It’s their job to be a light to the nations. The nations or the Gentiles. It’s their job to suffer for righteousness sake. Through the suffering of righteous Israel, the nations can be healed. Friend, if you’re teaching against God’s Torah, then you’re teaching against Jesus and the purpose of messiah. The Messiah‘s job is to restore Israel. His job is NOT to atone for your sins. He can’t atone for your sins. The Torah explicitly says what we can do to atone for our sins, and this is forever binding. The righteousness of somebody cannot rub off on somebody else. We’re all responsible for our own sins. The only way to be forgiven is to TESHUVAH, repent and return to the Commandments. If you’re a gentile and you want to join Israel, God invites you to do this. You can be grafted into Israel through your own love for God, and our love for him is defined by our obedience. We are “justified by our WORKS and not by faith alone.” James probably died defending Torah and fighting the evil works of Paul who taught “faith alone” and “belief in Jesus’s righteousness” and “NOT the letter of the Law.” Over and over the NT records the disputes of Paul and Jesus’ apostles. Paul wasn’t one of the twelve. He wasn’t chosen. He’s a liar and he’s the teacher who spoke rebellion against the commandments and rebellion against the way of Jesus. If Jesus was a Jew, the world knows which commandments he followed. The Torah teaches that it issss possible to be righteous. Obedience defines love. “If you love me, obey my commandments.” Scripture says that it’s “not too difficult” to obey Torah. Although the Messiah‘s job is to restore both kingdoms of Israel, The Messiah’s job is primarily to reach the Gentiles who are the assimilated House of Israel. He taught to be light to the nations. The nations are the gentiles. Worshipping Jesus, or Yeshua, as if he’s God is a SIN. “There is only one good”, and it’s not Jesus, says Jesus himself. The NT is full of mixed seed, tares and wheat, canonized by gentiles who piggybacked onto the Hebrew Bible and who made their own messiah out to be a sinner through their own writings. God said He’d TEST His children to know who has His Torah written on their hearts and who obeys Deuteronomy 4:2 & 12:32…teaching rebellion against Moses and adding or taking away from what Moses wrote. The NT documents Paul teaching against Moses and circumcision, but Paul denies the charges. What’s your opinion? Did Paul teach us to obey Torah? Or was he the Antichrist who…to a Jew was a Jew and to a Gentile was a gentile. He was a two-faced liar who was always in trouble with the Jews, and his words drown out Jesus and are full of “tares and wheat” and confusion.

This is called idolatry. YHWH says that He will not share his glory with another. Paul didn’t have his closest disciples circumcised. If a male isn’t circumcised, he can’t participate in Passover. Paul allowed people to eat meat sacrificed to idols. Paul said not to let people judge you on which day you keep. Paul said that the Law is a “ministry of death engraved in stones” and it’s fading away. If Jesus was king, he’d be required to fear YHWH, and he’d be required to write a physical copy of the Torah in the presence of the Levites. The Torah is everlasting. It’s physically written and is supposed to be written on the hearts of Israel. Paul never met Jesus while Jesus was alive on the earth, yet, Paul claimed to have had a vision of Jesus. But why didn’t Paul teach what Jesus taught? Jesus’ teachings weren’t always accurate, but Jesus kept Torah far better than Paul. If Paul taught the Law, it’d be clear. Paul was a Hellenistic Jew who caused problems in the early church, and who James had to refute on more than one occasion. His teachings have done nothing but lead generation after generation in rebellion against YHWH and even rebellion against Jesus.

Here's anther "type". When Moses interceded for the Jews after God judged them with the "fiery serpents" God instructed Moses to make a BRASS SERPENT ON A POLE AND PLACE IT ON A HILL. The Lord revealed to me the true meaning of the Brass Serpent. The Brass Serpent (that hurt no one and looked like the fiery serpents that were killing them) was on a pole on a hill and all who looked upon it were healed. Likewise, Jesus in the form of sinful flesh committed no sin and was crucified up on a cross placed on a hill and all who look to Christ will be saved from the curse of sin! God showed me how the Brass Serpent on a pole on a hill represented Christ on a tree on a hill. These are the kinds of connections made between the old and new. There is a plethora of references to Jesus throughout the Old Testament that you will also see confirmed in the book of Revelation. The Bible is amazing!

To me the Church changes everything . To me a name has a meaning it was Yeshua, not Jesus He died as the king of the Jews. We want All the blessings of the Jews as The people that was given the Torah, but we want to take as Christians or gentiles what we want or is convenient. To me there is no Messianic Christian We are disciples of Yeshua, followers if Him. He did not come to make a religion, He came to bring us His children to Hashem Yave the Creator. Man, is the one that bring religions ,cults denominations,. Man was responsible,Not Yeshua. I was born in Puerto Rico, raised in New York..I can pretend to be Jews! I love the Torah, I love the nation of Israel , is a blessed nation, they know their history, they culture, they live what they believe They are a Nation that God gave the Law. All nations hate Israel. People hate them but they don't know it live there. To Abraham God gave and make a covenant with him.. Ismael is the first seed of Abraham , but Isaac was the one that God gave to Abraham Jesus, to the gentiles those following Christianity are the want that created the different religions .not Yeshua . But in every discussion all mediators forget to mentions the adversary the want that is behind all this division, confusions, wars and hate and ignorance...that my humble opinion...

Messianic Judaism is Hebraic Evengelical Christianity. The original, authentic 1st century Yeshua movement was known as Netzarim. They were led by James as first Paqid and ended with 15th and last Paqid in 135 ce. That was the official end date. Splinter groups and Romanized Christianity don't count as Netzarim. Rabban Gamaliel's statement that if the Yeshua movement came to nothing then it was not from the Lord came true then. So Yeshua is just like those other false leaders mentioned in the 5th chapter of Acts.

This 'rabbi' "came to know the lord Yeshua." This means that he believes that Jesus was God in the flesh who supposedly died for our sins. To all non-Jews reading this, this means that the man with the hat is _not Jewish_ and can hence not be a rabbi as well. What's worse, he lies to us and to God.

The most blasphemous assault to Yahshuas teachings is the Trinity.

The Greek canon says that they ate leavened bread at the Passover. Some debate what meal this was because the gospel accounts contradict each other. Matthew, Mark, and Luke all state that this is the first day of unleavened bread, which is the Passover Seder. John is the only gospel that says Yeshua was crucified on Passover. Eating leavened bread is forbidden in Torah. Eating leavened bread at the Passover meal is a sin.

Yes, Yeshua was Jewish. In more than one occasion, He gave higher authority to “oral” Torah vs. “written” Torah. The NT is full of teachings from Torah, both written and oral. We have no writings from Yeshua. All we have are quotes from others that were canonized by pagans hundreds of years later. The earliest followers of Yeshua were destroyed. They were Jews who didn’t believe in the virgin birth, they didn’t believe in the Trinity doctrine, and they said Paul was false. Did Yeshua himself believe that He was God? If so, this is blasphemy. However, I don’t personally believe He thought he was God. Torah forbids us to worship the image of a man, or any other created being, because scripture says that YHVH has no form. Moses Speaking “face to face” with God is called biblical poetry. God said You saw “NO FORM” on the mountain. Jews reject the NT because Yeshua isn’t God. Jews reject the NT because it calls the coMmandments a curse. Jews reject the NT because the Passover lamb isn’t a “sin” sacrifice; It’s a memorial. YHVH is One, not three in one. Scripture says that ISRAEL is God’s firstborn son; and if Yeshua is a Jew, he’s a son of God, just like the rest of Israel. The covenant has always been open to gentiles, just like Caleb and Ruth and the “mixed multitude” who came out in the exodus with the Israelites. God shows no partiality. If you want to be a son of God, you’ve got to love Him by obeying His commandments. Paul calls the commandments “a ministry of death engraved in stones”. He said they are fading away. What hateful, hateful speech to trample on the word of God! Paul is accused on more than one occasion of trying to turn God’s children against His commandments. He nominated himself as apostle, but Yeshua didn’t choose Him. Yeshua never even met Paul. Paul wasn’t one of the twelve. James knew the truth of Paul. Paul said that we aren’t justified by the letter of the law. How false! James said we are justified by our works and not by faith alone. Paul always had issues with Yeshua’s chosen ones. Why is half the cannon written by Paul? Why do Pauls words drown out Yeshua’s? Yeshua taught “if you want to inherit life, obey the commandments” Yeshua taught repentance and return to the commandments; This is the same message of Torah and the prophets of Tanakh. The false teacher said, “without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness.” What a lie! This verse was totally twisted and vandalized from Torah. According to Torah and Tanakh, No blood is needed for forgiveness of sins. But if Christians don’t circumcise their hearts and study to obey God’s instructions, they’ll never know the truth. Paul is the creator or Christianity, not Yeshua. Yeshua was a Jew. He warned that after he was gone, false teachers would twist his words. He spoke about “tares and wheat.” Christians can’t tell the tares from the wheat because they’ve never eaten the bread of life. They don’t even follow their own messiah. The messiah is a tool of God; he’s not God. Worshipping the messiah as God is called idolatry. The messiah is prophesied to fear God, not to be God. God isn’t a man. Yeshua said “why do you call me good, there is only one good”. God said His commandments are forever, throughout your generations, and as long as you live on the earth. He calls it “counseling rebellion” against Him when so-called prophets lead Israel to fear and obey anything other that what was given by Moses. The sacrifices of God are a broken and contrite heart.
