That’s a great question! I used to have a satellite gps and would save my way points to get back to the truck. Now I use an app called Avenza on my iPhone and it works without cell service and I can set way points, see topography and all that fun stuff. If I don’t have technology sometimes I’ll hang flagging tape on tree limbs as well!
I go over the setup in more detail in this video: th-cam.com/video/HpaWaHtn5Rg/w-d-xo.html (0: 48) but it's just a cheap bino adapter from Amazon and a cheap Facebook Marketplace camera tripod (I think I paid about 15 bucks for it?) But it works great!
@@heydaddy6817 Yea, good point- I do have an older lever action 30-30, but I haven't been able to mount a scope or sight on it, and my efficacy with the iron sights isn't much better than 80 yards haha
@@Pryo_fireworks We stayed at the Cariboo lodge! (Great place!) It was our first time hunting in Clinton and we were surprised by the steepness of the terrain. Figured it would be a little more subdued.
@@thomaslawson177 oh yeh carriboo lodge was full when we went their but Clinton is a good spot it is steep we were going up jesmound road and roads near 70 mile house and 100 miles
Nice vid boys, love watching them even if there’s no harvest at the end. Keep pumping them out!
Likewise! I appreciate the encouragement haha, I was definitely getting frustrated that this was another year without a harvest. Happy New Year!
Two days in a row?! What a treat
It's a Christmas miracle!!
