Bit late to the party but things can be appreciated but also boring. Nothing wrong with boring as such, it was tense stuff. But also somewhat repetitive and boring..
just came back to watch this match again and i see my comment from 2 years ago. I think that there are "boring" parts of this match, but i think that is what makes this match so exciting. (almost) every fireball thrown has a risk associated to it. They are showing their opponent at what they are willing to bite at, and what risks they are willing to take. The "boring" parts set the stage for the big reads later in the match.
@@joqqeman i think because you might not understand what was happening in this match it goes deeper than pushing buttons and being repetitive. Like Boxing and Tennis. This match right here was high in mental games. Countering, timing, patience and adjustments all in mere seconds reading the man not the game.

Daniel Masterson honestly it gets much more hate than it deserves because it’s not SF4. It’s SF5 for a reason it’s not meant to be a replica of 4, people need to move on so they can actually appreciate the game

After years of getting my ass kicked by my brothers and not knowing where I was going wrong, it's great to finally understand, to a certain extent, what players are doing. This is definitely the best match I've seen, and Alex Valle is my favorite. West Coast!
never saw this match. ultradavid mentioned it on the podcast SRK was bumping. never really played competitively but this is really putting alot in perspective in terms of "its not just punching, kicking and fireballs"

No matter how many characters in street fighter are, the real fundamentals are shown when it comes to a Ryu VS Ryu mirror match. Both of these guys can keep fighting each other and I can watch like all day long.
Ryu mirror I've seen apart from this one is Momochi vs Daigo back when they both played in Arcade (Vanilla) FT5. Momochi was blue ryu and Daigo in traditional colours. It is on lordaborgine's channel
this is by far and away the best match ever recorded in street fighter!!!! freakin those footsies were insanely godlike by both players!!! Daigo= Ryu, Valle= Ryu!!!!!!
@OsciIet - Pro players play the "fireball wars" to keep their distance from the opponent and hopefully open up an opportunity to strike by jumping towards them (that's one of the things that makes the EX Demon Flip on Akuma so useful, as it makes him jump with more horizontal distance than normal, and you can approach an opponent and slam them to the ground this way.)
