About Dude Dad:
Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.
In addition to Dude Dad©, I have been in numerous TV shows, commercials, and have regular appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. 😢 my dad IS this cool but had me so young he got absolutely trapped in the corporate world constantly doing for everyone but himself and lining billionares' pockets and still paycheck to paycheck after working himself up for so many years.

Never ever grow up and lose your sense of childlike fun. This was so much fun to watch!
Fresh snow really brings the kid - and the engineer out of us Dads! No snow living in coastal California, so my friend took a wood chipper and 3 pallets of bagged ice to create an epic 50m long sled run. We also had to set up flood lights at night because no one wanted to stop playing. FYI - no sled handy? Boogie boards work great in a pinch!

You just made your kids "the best friends to be friends with" for life. And the "go to" dad for the other fathers. I see Team Dude Dad motocross for Girls, all pimped out in pink/black merch. Skate/bike parks and equipment, AirSoft equipment for moms . . .etc.

I do this just about every year for the kids....the tricky part is creating a course that doesn't launch your kids into the stratosphere the following day after it has iced over and is shooting kids out at mach 6

This is the most FoCo thing ever! DudeDad definitely found his perfect town. The community there is amazing. The park in our old neighborhood did a nerf battle and invited my 3 year old to join, even let him borrow a nerf toy and gave him an award. The people in FoCo are the sweetest. I miss it so much. ❤️

We had a huge hill at my parents house, it was the go to for all our friends when it snowed. Our dad made us one of these a few times over the yrs, it was epic. Only one hospital worthy injury lol, friend hit the neighbors play house.. only 13 stitches. He was fine 😂. Good times!

Haha! This footage is actually from this last spring when we got a huge dump of snow so Heidi was pregnant otherwise she would have been sledding too! There was a bunch of moms trying it!

This so reminds me of when we lived on an island in SE Alaska and the forest service guys built us kids a luge run down suicide hill!! I echo that, BEST DAYS EVER! We didn't have a guy making sure our toboggan didn't go over the top of the curve.... We flew! Luckily there was about 8 feet of snow at the bottom of the little cliff so no injuries and we hauled it up, did it again and leaned harder through the curve. THE TIME OF OUR LIVES! Still remember all those guys and how they made Christmas Vaca the best for a bunch of kids who count the days on that island as one of the high points of their lives! Ya'll are the best!

Ugh, this is breaking my heart at the same time it's filling it. I'm too disabled to do much of anything physical for my son, and don't have boots that fit me or gloves at all so I can't even snail-walk him to the hill and hope he can manage it. His Dad has all the gear and a working body but he's at work all the daylight hours this week and it's so rare we get snow where we are and there is so much of it here now.
I was disabled when I got pregnant with him and knew there were things -I- wouldn't be able to do, and mourned them, and soldiered on. I forgot to think of all the things -HE- wouldn't be able to do.
I'm so happy you made this for all the kids to enjoy, not just something closed off in your own back yard. I hope some kids like mine got a chance to enjoy it. You're not just making memories for your kids, you're making your whole community better. Good work guys. :)
