Reminds me of the Goosebumps Camera episode and it's sequel. The first episode had a lead actor in his late teens. The second one had a lead actor that was 12-ish. Despite the fact that it was a sequel.

I feel like Kill Joy is one of those series people hate in it's peak but then it some how in 10 years time becomes a cult classic. It happens..

He had such an awesome delivery. And his stunt was the only one in the movie that worked. I could already hear the bartender shout:
"GOOD GAHWD ALLMIGHTY! HE KILLED HIM! AS GOD IS MY WITNESS! HE IS BROKEN IN HALF!!!"
I hope in the sequel he recovers from St Woodcutter Hospilal and his wife and children help him find his near murderer!
In the end I hope for a plot twist! The chair was Jim Pickins all along! That makeup effect really sold Kill Joy 2 for me!

I want a KillJoy 3 that explores Jim's decent into insanity and how the clown (being his conscience) is making him into a blood thirsty serial killer.
My two sons back in 2007 modded the crap out of this game (it allowed of course) and all they did was make movies and post them on TH-cam. I was requested several times to do voice overs for them. Strange as it might sound they had me play myself. They recorded the videos and sold a DVD at conventions, which I believe is the plot in one of the episodes of the EvolChild web series. The series ended when they lost interest and moved on with their lives as adults. I am not saying anything they did was ground breaking entertainment, but at the time there was a small group of users who did not play the simulation. They just made movies. That was a very unique sandbox simulator for the times.
1 year later but that's pretty cool

(Edit; saying that this came after the happenings of 'Sims 4 but' series.)
I've figured out the timeline. After Jim Pickens blows all of his fake dads money traveling the world instead of going to college (sim 2 series) fake dad leaves and Jim still wanting to discover what kind of person he is leaves to hollywood to become an actor (movies series). After making two movies and having a love affair with his supporting actor the clown he realizes the movies tank and he is met with so much negativity that he begins to hate people and moves to a new town and begins to drown people in his pool (sims 1) and after that phase in a desperate attempt to live a normal life again he finds a family to live with, but, due to his hatred of people he begins to lock people in rooms and ruin peoples lives then then realizes that he loves to torture and kill people in fun ways and that he can do it while also building his relationships with people like him (sims 4). I presume he was good friends with his furry cousin Tim Pickens from the Sims Bustin' Out series because Jim named his son after him. Maybe as children they were friends which would give a bit more backstory. Still not sure what happened to his parents. Maybe they were his first victim. But it would seem this is the order of events because not all of the Jims are as bloodthirsty so yeah. I'll make a graphic or something to simplify it. Although I've only seen the sims 4, 1, 2 bustin' out, and movies series so if hes in anything else i need to know.

The song played by the pianist during the saloon fight scene is just so magnificent and heart-wrenching. I give this movie 5 stars, 5 stars that have collapsed in on themselves causing the formation of 5 huge black holes.

I liked Kill Joy 1, but I feel like this sequel was just a cash grab by the studio, it completely ignores the series' lore. I feel like Jim just sold out... #BoycottPickens
They should've stuck to horror, that's where Jim Pickens is at his best. However, at least Alexander Hutchings is an amazing comedian, but they shoehorn his character into so many scenes that he just becomes annoying. And having Joy come back to life was a terrible decision in the first place since it completely ignored the original's message about fire safety.

The scene of Joy forcing open the door from the inside reminded me of The Gunslinger. There was a scene where the main guy was in his room wanting to be left alone, but when he opened the door to talk, it opened out, away from him. He was obviously standing in the hall.
