    10:46 Before dividing the vertical line you need to extend it 1.5cm in both directions to make all the horizontal frame members spaced correctly. The same way you extended the horizontal divide line 3cm in both directions at 3:35
    Thank you for the videos, they're fantastic and I have learnt a lot!

    Good morning Sabeer,
    Last time I asked you about the sliding windows, and you said that you would soon have a tutorial for that. I believe it's not ready yet.
    My today question is different. You teach us to do a sloped roof, which is very good. However what about flat roofs and different levels of roofs (because you might have a roof higher than the other)
    Regards

    • @sabeercad
      @sabeercad  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      We can easily create a flat roof. Just trace the wall boundary using a polyline , offset that line 10-15 cm outside , extrude it through 10 cm to create the roof slab . To make the parappet you can use the same procedure which you have used to create the wall . thats all . For roofs having level diffrences you can stick to the same procedure . Roofs will be at different levels since the height of the walls are different . I will try to post a video on this as well.

    Building design can also be done like this with the video game Sims 2. Custom content can be added to the game to build almost anything. A high end gaming rig with a solid state HD, a fast processor and lots of ram is needed to run a lot of custom content.

    Hello Sabeer - I have learned so much from your videos and say thank you. Did have a question - obviously it is time consuming to create 3D doors and windows for each cutout - is it possible to copy and paste door and window patterns into "like size" cutouts elsewhere in the 3D walls. Also, do you available for download the doors and windows you created in your basic autocad 3d house tutorials.
    Thanks again.

    • @sabeercad
      @sabeercad  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      In Autocad we need to create different types of doors , windows , furnitures etc. only once . Then it can be reused any number of times in all your future drawings using the concept of blocks. Please refer my video on blocks in my channel ( comes under HOT TOPICS playlist) . You can download project files required to try each tutorial from the video description page of each video.

    • @Rick-jq8ng
      @Rick-jq8ng 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sabeer,
      Thus far I have been able to effectively and efficiently create 3D walls and also windows and doors and sloped roofs per your tutorials ( I can now create 3 or 4 panel windows in less than 10 minutes. ) all in only having AutoCad for less than 5 days.
      I have one last question and I will not trouble you again. I am aspiring to be a solar engineer and wish to be able to draw solar arrays on a 3D roof - thus far when I attempt to create a rectangle on a 3D sloped roof (to accommodate a solar array) it does not appear realistic as the polyline aligns to the slope of the roof as opposed to the horizontal plane of the ground. I am thinking I need to start with a flat roof and create the appropriate extrusions (for the arrays) and then create the sloped 3D roof. Am I on the right path?
      Again thank you for your replies - if you ever find yourself in Colorado I would be happy to take you out to dinner as I have learned much very quickly from your tutorials.
      -Rick

    • @sabeercad
      @sabeercad  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Richard Faber Hi Richard , I am happy that you have acquired practical knowledge from my channel . Please go ahead explore more videos .
      Regarding your work , the panels created using the polylines will align properly on the roof plane if the UCS is aligned . I will go through the file suggest the proper solution if you can send me the drawing file .
      I am sorry to tell you that there is no chance for me to come to Colorado . If you genuinely feel that my lessons have made a change in your level of understanding of AutoCAD , you can make a contribution to 'sabeercad' in the paypal id sabeercad@gmail.com .
      All the best and regards .....

    • @Rick-jq8ng
      @Rick-jq8ng 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      sabeercad Hi Sabeer - with your help I have been able to create a good scale model of my house with realistic windows, doors and a very complex multi angled / gabled roof (that took some time). The one thing that has got me stumped is how to move or delete the cutouts that were created in part one of your tutorials - whenever I try to move or delete them the entire wall gets deleted as well (obviously not a good situation). Is there a way to isolate and/or move delete cutouts from a 3D wall. Thank you again for all your help

    Thank you so much for the tutorials - they are great! At that moment I'm in the middle of placing the windows of my tutorial house, but I have a huge problem. I can't offset polylines and there are elements that don't look like it's planned to be. It's turning that message: "Cannot offset that object." I'll be very happy if you know the solution of my problem and you tell me what is it. :)

    • @sabeercad
      @sabeercad  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment . The offset problem could be because there can be coincident objects . just activate object cycling . If you need any clarification on that please refer my video on that in Tips and tricks section in my channel . Another method to tackle with this problem is , just erase the objects that prevents you from offsetting another object . Then perform offset and give "oops" command to restore the erased object back . Try these things and get back to me

    • @tedi4ka90
      @tedi4ka90 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      sabeercad I've tried the two different methods you told me but none of them worked. I think the problem is somewhere else and it's not related with the objects on back or front side. I'll research more and if I have a solution will write again. :) Thanks!

    • @sabeercad
      @sabeercad  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Teodora Yordanova Another reason could be UCS . Your UCS should be in the same plain as that of the object (it should be the same as of creating the object) . If this fails . Send me the file . I like to sort out such situations . Even I can learn more.. :)

      Turn off the Dynamic UCS and try. The UCS should be exactly on that face when you try this.
