It sure as hell seems like an incredibly hard battle, Its very impressive that you've managed to beat him.
I was having so much trouble with this as Terra! Used to use the Strike Raid cheat but that's just not satisfying enough. Ariel Slam/Mine Square/Renewal Block is definitely the way to go since Thunder Surge doesn't seem to last long enough and just leaves you exposed. Thanks for the tip!
@narutoman3223 In the Castle of Dreams for all characters in a chest located somewhere in different areas. You change into it by using Thunder-elemental Commands
@misterbensy It only heals according to how much damage you would take. Say, for example, you block an attack that would have done 100 damage, like Vanitas's attacks, then you would heal 100 Hp.
@kykiske05 if you wanna fight him with terra and ventus just load their files after completing last episode and btw its best not to continue last episode once youve done the last boss coz you cant face mysterious figure

Choose Badlands and there will be a dark sphere in front, yet far from you. Go up to it and good luck. Recommendations: Be at a high level to damage and make sure to save before facing him.

If I could be invincible with potions, it's just a matter of how long the fight is, rather than whether or not it's actually possible. I did actually manage to beat him with the mine square and aerial slam strategy, while using a shotlock to avoid his shadow clones, but fucking hell this fight it fucking stupid on Terra.

I've beaten both Vanitas Sentiment and the Unknown with Aqua, but I've only beaten Vanitas Sentiment with Terra and Ven, meaning that, while Aqua does have the Keyblade No Name, Terra and Ven don't. Would you happen to know how I reach 100% Item Completion?

have a level 1 block command, and a curaga. meld them. rejuvenating block heals you for the exact amount of damage you would take had you not been blocking. and is one of the best blocks in the game. happy now?

just stock maximum mega potions, use chaos ripper and play coup de grBce in the background. manliest, ownage, ever. i took this guy out with ma keyblade and ma manly dodging skillz. if he employs the shieldy "fuck you" attack, just use a well timed shotlock to escape it.
I give up. This guy is IMPOSSIBLE as Terra. You were incredibly lucky in this video that he 1) didn't spam the desperation move to the point where I didn't have enough Focus to Shotlock, and 2) that you almost never took damage coming out of Shotlock or Aeriel Slam. I almost always do. Then sometimes I get forced into a Shotlock with 1 HP that always ends in my death. It's not even worth beating this guy as Terra--Zero Gear is weaker than Chaos Ripper. I already got my achievement, I'm fucking done. I've been trying to beat him for three hours. Meanwhile I beat Unknown in about an hour as Terra--and that Keyblade is pretty useless for Terra too. Fuck Vanitas.
Florence Ledger just beated this boss with terra at level 40 in hard mode with a few tries, it isn't impossible, you have to eliminate the second dodge from terra's moveset and he will be able to dodge everything with the first dodge, he can be quite quick if you use him well
Florence Ledger If you haven't beaten him yet, try my method if you wish for Terra. Ventus D-Link, Fatal Mode/Critical Impact, Blade Charge, 6-HI potions, Ars Solum, Regen Block,Aerial Slam, Mine Square and Sonic Blade. Thats how I beat him at lvl 46

Thanks for the strategy, here! I managed to defeat him with Aqua using Mine Seeker, with Ven using Tornado...now I know what to use with Terra.
@rodasgu Vanitas mirrors any healing spell cast by the player, this is why he stacked up on potions as those don't trigger the mirror effect.

Can you not get hurt when you do Arial Slam? Because sometimes you can get damage even when you are doing a move.
Also how do you get there when I go there I can only go to fissure

He engaged him quickly enough so he had to dodge
