You can trip the trap by attacking the Mighty Bananas (I choose to roast them with a Fire Fruit). It makes the Yiga give a slightly different response, and you can still grab the Bananas and teleport away.
Are you sure? Because I roasted the bananas in the Shrine of Resurrection and nothing happened! I didn't trigger anything! I broke the quest! I had to go back a save and touch the plain old bananas.
Fun fact, you can trap the tree ambushers into a Lorax themed purgatory. As you know if you try to take or interact with the banana in any way it will either start the fight or if your wearing the yiga set, it will start dialogue that stops the action. However If you set the banana on fire, it will trigger the text but won’t extinguish the flame, so the banana will become cooked bananas, this transformation doesn’t trigger anything and you can now take your snack leaving them to be trees forever

Pro tip: Hit a tree, they will get annoyed and reveal themselves, in battle use a high defence armour(soldier set) a level 3 attack boost, use a sapphire rod and a powerful weapon and they will be really easy.
If you wear the Yiga outfit and try to pick the bananas up they will be mad at you and tell you to leave the bananas on the ground so to not reveal their disguise if Link passes by XD

Let's be honest this was one of the best ambushes ever planned but there's no beating instant teleportation
