sadly no npc actually mentions anything about the earthwake technique, I got it very early into the game (~15 hours in) and didn't really have anyone mention it
I also got it early and i fought kohga early (right after i met sidon) and he never said anything
There’s also dialogue between yourself and “Master kogha” if you attempt to wear the Yiga outfit at all 4 of his phase fights. Short of it, he still recognizes that it’s you.

Did you know that you can also wear the thunderhelm inside the yiga vase and they still don't recognize you? It also gives some yiga diffret dialogue.

Ah so it’s just like the Thunder Helm in Gerudo Town in botw where you still won’t get kicked out of you had the helm and the rest of the Gerudo Veil, only this time it works with the Yiga Clan instead

Honestly, I really like this. The Yiga clan sorta reminds me of the storm troopers, because while they are mostly just generic enemy grunts, they are also filled with personality, and it shows that they are human behind the mask. I imagine that elder members who remember their roots as shiekah try to keep the tradition alive, whilst the newer members focus on training and spreading their influence. I like it.
This game and age of calamity also go to help show that they aren’t all evil, just misguided. makes them much more fun as the goofy side antagonists.

To anyone asking about the master sword, remember that most people still dont understand its importance. Its become actual legend to the point where some people have gptten confused. Remember the guy in the first game who called it the master torch?

For those that didn't know if you do the blademaster quest before going to the hideout you get a discount on the vehicles they sell. Goes from 999 to 500
The other was just 99 amd goes down to 50
You can also just copy it with auto build

you can also get some better recognition and some discounts on vehicles by becoming a blademaster! there's a side quest nearby the gerudo canyon skyview tower, inside a cave there's a small yiga clan room for blademasters where you can apply to become a blademaster

I ended up dressing as a yiga before coming up to the gate, the guy turns around and is like, “wow a real live yiga member!” It was pretty cool
there is actually different dialogue with the potential member at the beginning if you already have it on! he mainly compliments the outfit.

Tbh when I started finding Yiga armor I was kinda hoping that there would an entire questline where you have to inflitrate the Yiga Clan as an undercover agent and sabotage them from the inside or something

When you achieved the Yiga-Officer quest in the Gerudo valley, you can talk to the Yiga officer there in completely normal clothing without any disguise and he will only tell you that your face looks kinda familiar but you should wear proper Yiga clothing next time.

Eh it requires you to stand still for a bit to charge so I don’t rely on it
It doesn't do that much damage, but it'll work to knock enemies back/around/etc. if you don't want to waste durability on your actual weapons.
it's a ton of fun to beat up blademasters with it, because Link is just better at it than they are and will always win an Earthwake contest
It's cool how after what happend to kohga in the first game they put a door so link wouldn't rush there
You can become a yiga blade master which will make everything in yiga hideout cheaper

The bases we go to are clearly combat focused and yiga recruitment as it stands is interesting to be sure. So they may have hideouts hidden entirely. Heck there own version of kakariko

I was confused at first to why they had something to the Thunder Helm, but this video enlightened me that they made a replica, and it all makes sense now.
I love that we can actually talk to the Yiga Clan in disguise now. There was always something missing from them back in BotW.

it probably lost the purpose of that from so long after founding. so at this point, they just recruit anyone because they don’t know about the reason of why the yiga clan even exists.
That's how they started but I imagine they couldn't keep up their numbers if they only did that, they would have had to start recruiting from outside eventually.

Wow, with how silly they are, you sometimes forget these are the people who brutally murdered Dorian's wife and threatened to kill his children if he didn't spy on the Shiekah. The contrast between 'These people would and have killed innocent people to help a homicidal maniac just because the Hyrulean Royal Family treated their original members poorly centuries ago' and 'Heehoo, silly banana ninjas are incompetent' is somewhat jarring.
I imagine just like any other cult, there's people who will die for the cause, and then the people who are more chill and just with the cult for security. nothing, the helmet has no effect on the conversation with riju
None of the gerudo mention it in conversation, but their overhead bubble does change to "that helm..." or some variation thereof.
I mean I do know of one npc that has new dialogue if you wear the helmet in botw but I dunno about totk
idk but if you wear the yoga outfit in gerudo town the people will ask you to change and kick you out until you do so

When you bought the spikes, you're meant to fuse them to a weapon or a shield.
there is a waterfall near gerudo canyon there is a yoga blade master base in there do his quest of placing bananas and you become a blade master and get A NON DECAYED WIND BLADE or what it is called…

The Yiga Hideouts are not abandoned whatsoever in TotK. Even after defeating Master Kohga and collecting all the Yiga Schematics and getting their special attack, they are still there. That's way better than in BotW, where it was abandoned and sad.
