Honestly, the true villain of this game is the father. Rather than manning up and telling them both the truth of an old affair, he tells only the son. All because he 'doesn't want to disappoint his little girl'. What's worse is that he may have potentially hypnotized his son into abandoning his feelings for his half sister. And it pissed me off that both have to suffer for their father's mistake 😡
@@Lionheart1188 The beauty of story-telling is the fact that people are able to funnel real-life emotions into some sort of medium. To be able to feel genuine emotion towards a fictional plot. Your weird display of masculine bravado and unemotionality is the real pathetic thing here. I mean, what even was the point of commenting?
I think I realized what you're supposed to do. You have to get to that room with the father 3 times total. Each time you have to choose a different option to align the outer circles/rims of the clock. Once all 3 circles are aligned (resulting in the proper edges), then the game is over, and there's nothing left for you to do but quit. Pretty poetic.
There is one thing - you can touch the minute clock hand in the menu and set it back to 58. Then, "Continue" option will appear and you will return to conversation with Father. I've checked a little futher but couldn't find more content beyond this point. I guess this is all the game has, unless there is another mistery route.
That's Annapurna games for you though, I think even on their website they mention that they don't truly know if they make "games", just cool little artistic visions that they hope ppl enjoy. I very much enjoyed this one.
Its Pretty obvious after you saw everything. The Loop in the apartment was just in his head, during the hypnotic session with his the father. There are multiple hints to notice it. E.g. 2 Minutes before 12 you are by your father arguing about the relationship. In the true ending the hypnotic therapy starts at 12. Thats the time he entered the apartment in his head. So the loop is a imagination for him to realise, that the relationship with his sister can't work out well. That's why her stolen clock looks exactly like the clock on the wall at the father's office he is seeing while the hypnotic session and that's why the clock is that important in the loop.
@@shaunrangervirgil9260 I mean YOU might, I enjoy them for the most part. Outer Wilds and Sayonara Wild Hearts were excellent games. Stuff that challenges typical game design, makes you think a little harder has a place.

I think what alot of people are missing is that the best ending is he is alone and perhaps he can find someone else with time. What people are missing is that the "true ending" is how the game itself begins. A lot of stories are that way, they begin where they end and end where they begin. Well remember? He forgot and doesn't remember any of it? If he goes back in time and gets his memory wiped then that's how he ends up with her in the beginning of the game. Even if he ended up alone it would be the best outcome. He sacrifices his happiness so the dominoes wouldn't fall and create this wave of unhappiness and misery that affects her and her child. Their father doesn't die even though he deserves too. That is the best, "true" ending. Self sacrifice.
Eh, this whole game relies on the fact that you're horrified about discovering it's your half sister, honestly Alabama is a great place to raise a baby.
Whys she crying tho? She thought she killed him and didnt shed a tear, now all of a sudden when she realises its not her fault she becomes the most sensitive person...
none of the endings except this one made sense really - Groundhog: so the cop just listened to her daughter and spared the couple? yeah right and others where he either dies or both survives , they have conversations which do not make any sense. Its because he's fantasizing about the life he could have with his sister. You get to play through his fantasy collection and experience how deep his love was for real , Which is why whenever she dies or in this Ending it never turns out to be true.......you feel sad.... because the game/ his day-dreams do such a great job at making everyone ship them. Idk man.....even if she was her sister.....it still hurts to see the guy so broken into pieces over her.
She was already used to the idea that she killed him. Already cried out all the tears of that. Being sensitive over new information is not strange in those circumstances
@@lukky6648 inst that why the true ending is about him forgetting all this ideas and move on, like the book says? whatever other option will just break him apart
@Zero No...The whole reason why it loops is because he can't let go of the idea of being with her. The "loops" aren't actually time loops. The loops are representations of his fantasies. He can't see himself living without her, but he knows it's not right for them to be together. That's why forgetting ends the loop. He won't know she exists. He won't obsess over her, he won't fantasize of a life they can't live, and he won't have to deal with the pain of loving her but not being able to be with her.
Honestly this is the "best game and film" for me right now. I'm kinda braindead and I'm getting shocked every time when i see a new option. It's a fkin great game. It's like a film but you can play. Amazing job
honestly i really like this game's story, the twist, and the ending. but ending your story with the "it's time to wake up" trope should be illegal. there should have been something after this to wrap everything up, with the husband atoning for his sins after experiencing all of the loops

I was kinda running on the assumption I wasn’t playing a total psychopath which is why I guess I never picked up the knife or drugged the wife. Just made me feel like an asshole 😂
TBH why do I feel has was under hypnosis to try and overcome ( possibly the wifes death) And the psychologist plays both the role of the father and the cop and so on and so forth
This is ridiculous! I've played this game for more than 2 hours and seems that you couldn't have reached this ending fast. I did not enjoyed this game at all... Thank you for the video though!
Ends the same way, you get different choices with Agent 47 or whoever, but you get the watch three times and it always comes back to the library, so it narrows back down.

Tbh.... The endings are really strange they can just refuse to be in a relationship with the girl who's the sister and let dad be alive and no accidents then find another girl he was meant to be with but for some reason this true ending seems.... Strange and confusing
good point...so really happens at the end? since the loner ending seems like a fakeout, but you stick with her then you get more loops. i wonder what really happens to him
