Ah, Cincinnati - "The Queen City" - if my memory is accurate....I just checked it because I don't want to be disrespectful - especially since you gave a shout-out to my city currently sporting a bad reputation. Thank you. I know Cincinnati is infinitely more than the Reds - yet, touching on a common interest we share and mentioned in this video - a shout-out to your place in Baseball history and the privilege you enjoy of hosting the first game of every season - unless that's changed. I don't follow the Game closely anymore - yet, I'm very respectful of it's history and your place in it. I hate that Pete Rose's lawyers mis-advised him and kept him out of the Hall of Fame.... I passed through your town on the Greyhound bus a couple of times and wish I knew more. Likely, I'll watch the video on this channel - yet I know it won't do you justice. So, I'll keep researching. Already I've learned that the original name was, "Lisanti" - which I'm glad the governor changed: Cincinnatus was an honorable man. Plus, it still sounds Native American - a win-win name! Perhaps a long response, yet I had to say thank you. I'm sure you have your problems in Cincinnati: every city / region does. But I've long believed that St. Louis is the most divided city in the U.S. - if not the World. Lotta work to do here. So, thank you for being encouraging, Cincinnati!
Thank you for highlighting a city that has suffered a poor reputation in recent decades - my hometown. I lament the divisiveness in the City and the Region that has prevented us from coming together and making this place the welcoming and thriving city-state for all people it could be - on both sides of the Mississippi. I know you can't be comprehensive in covering a topic in under ten minutes. Still, a few recommendations.... It would be good for you to get a native of the area to at least read your script. We've butchered names in St. Louis - particularly French ones - so your attempts at pronouncing names like, "Laclede," "Chouteau," and, "Soulard," kind of missed it. Before commenting, I scanned videos of cities and areas your team has covered in the U.S. and around the world. And I know you're doing more. So, I'm grateful you've given treatment to St. Louis. We've got a lot of work to do here. We can be a greater city/region than we've ever been - but the parochialism has to end. So, thanks for the attention - and if you could do a revised version with the pronunciations corrected, we'd appreciate it.
Salute To St. Louis From Cincinnati. 💯
Thank you!!
