One major problem is that the scratch algorithm hates old projects. Once your game gets old it leaves you in the dust and no new people will be able to find unless they find it by searching or someone's favourites. They can also find it with studios but there is no search bar in studios
This probably is the go to video for anyone (like me) that wants to get popular on Scratch One other tip I’d recommend that is probably almost guaranteed to get you popular, is being a ScratchTuber (Scratch TH-camr). I think it's pretty obvious why, but I can still explain if you don't understand.
@@ProjectLabsScratch Exactly! Scratchers love viewing projects made or seen by popular and well known people (Like ScratchTubers). It’s kind of like making an account when your already really well known in the scratch community
Wow Honestly this can be useful sure enough the thumbnails for scratch projects can take time especially for me when i make projects they aren't really the best since i run into bugs alot , so it can be understandable in this video and helps others understand.
Here's my 2 cents: DO NOT use advertising studios. The only reason why people go to those studios is to advertise their own projects. They're not going to care about you or your project, just themselves. These studios will not help whatsoever.
there's also the creating a studio for your project and inviting literally every account you see to it strategy which is incredibly effective but it's really scummy and everyone will hate you for it.
Final advice. Don't build on scratch as a career or as a real way to build massive full games. It won't work. Scratch is coding for fun, not professional.
@@Arrow-Pointer yes, that is EXACTLY what I am saying. Wanna do professional visual scripting? Unity has that, unreal has that, Godot has that. Scratches is simply not professional or practical to make money, or to make a serious real big full scale 100+ hours game.
Thanks, this helped i'm gonna do it now i just finished the video right now and if you see this later then i don't know what to write lol blah blah blah lol XD🤓
@@ProjectLabsScratch well I added the game to hundreds of studios and just from 4 ADVERTISMENTS, I got IP banned for 3 days. And I only had 110 views after ONE TO TWO MONTHS THAT DOESN’T WORK FOR ME
@@Izzy4Games99 oof, it's not pitch perfect, but it works pretty well for me and viper. Are you adding to the right studios? If you are randomly adding, that definitely won't work.
@@ProjectLabsScratch no I wasn’t randomly adding I went on the popular tab and added it to EVERY STUDIO I COULD FIND ON THE POPULAR TAB and I DIDN’T KNOW I HAD TO MAKE SURE THE FOLLOWER COUNT WAS HIGH UNTIL THIS VIDEO WHICH WAS OVER 3 MONTHS LATER. I was following Viiperrr’s instructions.

Yea, I tried my best to show projects that weren't super affected by my videos 😅

Cool
tip if your project got rated nfe: reupload but change parts of the projects so it cannot get rated nfe again

Thanks! This really helps. Ive been doing Scratch for 5 years now and WOW this has been hard to get over 400

I have the very slight feeling we got this info early through a livestream

also, nowadays, having a bigger project id can help (or at least I've heard)
@@bigfatsnakeviiper yea i've seen some recent ones, but Scratch still indexes projects from low to high
good job tho

nah the best tip is make a generic platformer and advertise in other popular projects💀💀💀
Shh that's part 2
Yeah but it's not really going to be memorable, and people are probably not going to come back to play it in the future
I was in the video lol 😂

The invite studio method kinda works, the profile one does a bit better. I considered adding that method though
2:44 For some reason, my scratch projects always get Not Rated 🤷🏻
Same, only one of mine is rated
What about advertising through TH-cam comments? 💀
they advertise through youtube now?
