Without exaggeration one of my great memories of my young adulthood was watching Mark Hitt Play Pythagoras! I have been professional guitarist for approximately 45 years and Marks Influence on me and so many others was completely incredible!! Amazing player and amazing band!
These guys were amazing. Saw them many, many times and they always sounded incredible. I remember Mark Hitt had a Hiwatt head with the logo modified to "Hitt"
Rat Race was the best band period. Now you can here Mark & Steve as Torque. But I miss the keys and I also miss Dave. We can only pray for an Original RRC reunion in NJ / NYC area
I just found out about these guy from watching a video with Jay Jay French of Twisted Sister and he said that these supported them once upon a time so I looked them up. WOW, JUST WOW THEY ARE GREAT. Thank you Rat Race Choir and all who posted music so I could hear them.

Wow incredible, north Jersey in the 70's and 80,s followed them to every show. 🤘🔊🎼🎵🎶
Sucking down Heinekin's while seeing this band at Speaks in Island Park..... these guys were great......
Mark & Larry Rock Stars In Heaven! The best of the best!
One of the Greatest bands I saw back in the 1980 era.. Sorry that they never got the management to promote them to national recognition... :(
RIP Mark.
God. Less Larry’s soul, he was one of the kindest nicest men, no attitude and an amazing keyboardist

I saw them twice in early 80's .. what a fantastic band .. wish they had a manager that knew how to get them the recognition they deserved.. :(
This was no doubt played at Speaks on Long Island, NY; I know I was in the crowd in the front. RRC used a Quadraphonic sound system.
RIP Mark Hitt

I believe this instrumental (written by Mark Hitt) was originally named "G" as this is the chord, riff & most used note.
Were these guys the best or what? INSANE.
Great - thanks for posting this!!!
GREAT POST!!DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHERS!
When you stop to think when this song was written, Mark Hitt was so far ahead of his time
