When I was 18-19 I started working at a security guard. I used to request new assignments about once or twice a month and while stationed at a particular place, like Procter and Gamble I would coax a foreman to give me a tour. Didn't matter where I was or what they made I enjoyed learning about the processes. My favorite was Valentek Kisco. They mad 40mm grenades and like 105s. THAT was cool. So I enjoy now just watching all this different place and what they do.

Wow, Brandon, those are going to look so good in the trailer!!! I bet your could double the sale price on your trailer if you ever wanted to sell it and get a bigger one!!! Impressed by what you do and the business that you use to make it look even better and last so much longer than just paint, no matter how good a prep job one does!!! Be well, be safe, be Blessed!!!

Thanks Jim. I just love the durability. The paint just feels durable. It will be interesting to see how all this comes together...in about 3 more weeks it's going on a 3000 mile adventure. Take care buddy and blessings to you!

Powder coating is such a cool process. There’s a lot of prep work involved. Everything has to be perfectly cleaned. One fingerprint can completely ruin it. One of my friends worked at a powder coating company one time and I was amazed by the whole process. We powder coated a set of pony wheels white for a mustang. They turned out beautiful.

It's pretty amzing what can be done. I love seeing other peoples creativity. The guy we saw at the plasma table (Brandon) was my first time meeting him but I've seen some really cool designs that have come out of that place and it's always neat to see that creative side. My brain works too symetrical to get that artistic part of design so I always appreciate those that can see that vision.

G’day from Down Under. I really enjoyed that episode Brandon, I always enjoy shop tours seeing what is being done out there. That oven really eats the gas it’s times like that when you realise the obsurdity of removing gas, coal and oil from our society.

Thanks man. I had fun hanging out with these guys. No kidding on the fossil fuels! t's bad enough at 8 gallons an hour for propane, can you imagine the cost to heat that massive thing with electricity....not to mention straining an already pathetic power grid we have here in the US.

Great content (as usual), even more so because they did the doors that you built! Loved hearing about and seeing the process of how powder coating is done. We've been having some stuff (outdoor furniture, a handrail for the stairway) powder coated recently and love how things turn out. This video is very timely for me.
I am going to build some sliding "barn doors" (50cm wide by 200cm tall) with steel 1X1 tubing as a frame and diamond plate steel as the skin (what my wife wanted!) and then having them powder coated. Cannot wait to see them done.
    Cheers from Portugal!!

I have two companies I deal with for sand blasting and powder coating. One is quicker than the other, but the other is a bit cheaper for the wait. There's another company I'll deal with for my tractor frame and parts that has a 10 year guarantee on their coating, but they only have black. It's a very durable coating that's often used on trailer frames.

@@BrandonLund I've seen some guys use the HF powder coating stuff, and then they buy a cheap electric range for the oven to bake it.
Nearly all the stuff I got coated has turned out very nicely. I had a bit of trouble with wheels not being coated properly around close surfaces, but that was about the only issue.

I'm always amazed with the stuff they build. As a fabricator myself I appreciate the talent and creativity that goes into this stuff. They have a curved alumunum gate that they built for someone on their FB thats pretty impressive. He has a roller that can bend massive material into spirals. You might be able to just get a glimps of it when he was showing the bar stools.
