CK only had to stop the car. He was told many times but chose to ignore the police and was using the car as a weapon. He was the architect of his own downfall. It was wrong that the police officer had to face the legal ordeal.

I read that subsaharan Africa has one of the lowest average population IQ scores of any region in the world. And have you ever read accounts of what Europeans saw in the 15th century when they first reached Africa? I’m trying to find the best way to say this, well… they certainly didn’t find anything to equal the Pantheon in Rome, or any aqueducts - in fact still to day, the idea of a pipe to move water evades them.

@@ThePalestinians8myCat Just did a quick dive into the saint's past. Interesting read. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has said the car, which was not registered to Mr Kaba, was being followed after it was flagged as having been involved in a firearms incident.
Mr Kaba had previously served a four year prison sentence after being convicted of possessing an imitation firearm.
But it has now emerged that in August 2020, after he had got out of jail, he was caught driving without insurance with a knife in his car.
Because the offences were committed while he was still on licence, he received an extra five months in custody.
Court records also show that in April this year, Mr Kaba was served with a 28-day domestic violence protection order relating to the mother of his unborn child barring him from contacting her on social media or entering the street where she lives.

Mr Kaba was convicted criminal previously jailed and known to Police. He was also member of a 'drill' rap group' in other words a violent gang. He was driving a car involved in a firearms incident the previous evening and when stopped had ample opportunity to stop and comply with the Police and get out of the car, instead he ignores their commands and then rams marked Police cars, no wonder the police were worried, how did they know he didn't have a firearm given all of the above.Looking at this video I'm amazed this went to court and how Kaba is painted as a victim, he's not the Policeman and his family are.

He and 6 mates of his were under investigation wanting to murder someone, and when those police pulled him over with that history of him, he wouldn't get out of his car which had previously been used in a shooting when asked, but instead he drove it at the police.
So @missqt48 get your head out of the sand and stop defending him because He is Black, as he is one of many problems in this country with Black on Black violence, and people like you who deny that people like Chris is a Bad one, but is a pillar of the community is causing this country massive problems, and making you look stupid.

If it had not gone to trial, the Met police and its oversight body ( the IOPC) would have been accused of a cover up. Community relations are strained and confidence in policing is at an all time low since Wayne Couzens, David Carrick and various other rogue officers within their ranks….

Here is a part of one
Police were investigating reports of shots being fired in Butchers Road at around 3.25am on December 30.
Chris Kaba, a 19-year-old from Sydenham, south London, was charged on Sunday with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Police continue to appeal for information to identify a second man, shown on CCTV at the scene, who is described as black, wearing black joggers, black trainers and a black coat with a light-coloured fur hood.

What evidence did they have that led them to believe that they should come to him with hostility with a gun pointed at him? Could they have not just asked him to step out of the vehicle, politely, without having a gun pointed at him, perhaps from a distance with a loudspeaker? It all sounds a bit too extreme. People are puzzled as to why he lost his life in circumstances that don't seem to have warranted such extreme force much at all. Regardless, we have to say that this is a terrible tragedy, and that perhaps we need to place greater value on people's lives in order to prevent this tragedy from recurring.

There’s a reason there is bollards in London everywhere, cars are far more dangerous weapons than almost anything you can carry.

This murder trial was over very quickly! The officer did his duty protecting himself his colleagues and the public. The driver would be alive today if he complied with the officers and did not use his vehicle as a weapon. Yet this officers family has probably had to change their names and move home. The officer will now need to change his name as well. All for doing his duty when the criminal tried to drive out of an armed stop. Your protectors are no longer signing up to do this job!
