  • Mike and Daniel from #SouthwestAutomatedSecurity Baton Rouge asked about what inground inductance loop electronic test equipment we used during class.
This is a follow up to that question. This is supplemental to classes we teach.
    Side Note:
Thanks to our host, Southwest Automated Security Baton Rouge.
They hosted Rotary Gate Systems, and #TheAccessControlExpertSchool for a day of BBQ, ASTM International, & UL and #multimeter training.
The crew at SAS, Daniel, Tobie, and Susan, are awesome. Thanks for the donuts.
The teachers were great as well.
Brooks started the day off with how to save diagnostic time using your multimeter and specialty test equipment.
(EVERYONE LOVED THE UNDERGROUND WIRE TEST DEMO)
Mike Gulledge (LSU FAN) shared F2200 and 325 knowledge from his work with American Fence Association and American Fence Association University.
Fun FACT: You can replace a non UL control board in a gate opener without needing to meet all the electronic entrapment protection. However, when you replace the chassis, i.e. install a new opener you have to meet ASTM F2200.
Michael Jones from Rotary Gate Systems covered for Shane. He reviewed their unique openers and how they do every single thing a chain drive system does and a whole lot more.
