    Just gorgeous Molly! I am so happy you tried mixing with water! That is exactly what I am going to do today! I have so many pouring mediums, my mind is going gah gah! Sorry the bug and your palm got in your paint! 🤪 Can't wait to see your next one! Jumping up and down because you truly are my "go-to", since I did "go-to" you for my "in-person" lesson! THANK YOU DEAR LADY! Love you! 😚🤗🐇💗🥰

    I love me some Rinske and discovered her earlier this year. I thought the same about 'only' water....huh? Yet, because of Rinke's Dutch Pour technique, I did a live art demo in front of 200 folks on a college campus. The painting created now hangs in the college's Student Center!! Thank you for showing us your go at 'just water'-- I can't wait to see what you do next! ....

      @@lisa-linb4190 uugghh. Just noticed my type O's in my last comment. Sorry about that..too early for me to type. Lol. Anyway I'm kinda thinking I'm not putting enough paints down because when I blow it out its looks all washed out or something..or maybe I'm using too much white to blow over them I'm not sure but does any of that sound like it could be the problem ?? Molly used A LOT of the blow over white in this video lol but I keep 2nd guessing myself on what I might be doing wrong . It drives me bonkers . The very 2st pour I learned was the cloud / ring pour . I can do the blooms & many other techniques pretty good but this darn Dutch has me wanting to bang my own head in the wall. Lol. Uugghhh. 😜😜😜😜😜😜 Thank you for the encouragement and slso Congrats on your Campus painting !!! That's pretty cool . 😉😉😉😉😉

    I LOVE the results i got when i did this experiment! Ive actually modified it a little since and now I use just water in my base and flood paint and a thinned down version of my regular mix for my colors (floetrol, gac800 and liquitex PM or varnish). I noticed when i use my regular mix on my base my colors sink into it as it dries and i end up with a big puddle in the middle with almost nothing around it. Im so sorry this beautiful piece was ruined!! Damn flies!

    Hey Molly , I'm back for another binge while I'm poorly today indoors by myself.
    I'm delighted that you are doing this just paint and water because I was so curious why nobody seemed to do this!
    I have a load of new Arteza Metallics to try out , as well as some small tubes of Artina paints to use up. I had great results with them before using Floetrol but I am going to try it just with water next. This was a spectacularly beautiful work ,.Congratulations!!
    ... and I cant see that your finger accident has marred it at all. It's so delicately pretty. 💚

    Definitely a lot cheaper and get great results. My only concern is that the paint is thinner and you can see the texture of the canvas when it dries, which I don’t like. Wondering if you made the paints a bit thicker and if that would solve the problem. Cheers!

    • @LauraMe...

      If you gesso the canvas I know that would hide the canvas but how would the pot react over it ? Molly?

    • @katpalio1906
      @katpalio1906 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Karen Gray try adding a coat (or coats) of gesso to your canvas first and let it fully dry. This should help lessen the texture of the canvas.👍😸

    • @katpalio1906
      @katpalio1906 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most ready made canvases already have a gesso coating, read the label. Additional costs shouldn’t make any difference as to paint reaction.

    Subtitles on these videos are hilarious! Rinske Douna turns into ‘Spit down up’ 😂😂
    Love your videos 💕

    I just cannot seem to get this effect when using only water. So frustrating! Is my mix too thick? Should I not use Liquitex Basics? Etc? This piece is beautiful btw.

      I would use a more pigmented paint

      I use low or cool, you dint want to dry the paint too fast

    I'm a newbie as well. So, you used water, acrylic paint - and no silicon or any other ingredient at all? Your piece is beautiful, love the colors.

    I'm gonna have to try this again 👍👍 I know you told me thin paint before but I was afraid to go that thin ☺️ I'm trying this again next time I play for sure 👍👍👋
