The blowout looks like a submarine. By the way I’m a fulltime concrete guy and I can reassure you blowouts happen from time to time. Especially in foundations, you have to make them as efficient as possible to earn money. And when you walk that line things can happen. 99% of the blowouts I have had are not critical. Just stay calm and carry on like your pump guy did. Love your videos 👍🏻

On a hospital build job my company was delivering concrete to the sub contractor that was doing walls, they kept having blowouts. The wall panel form manufacturer came out to the job and supervised the installation of the wall form panels and the rate in which the concrete was poured. No more blowouts occurred as a result
. A big takeaway from that job was that the subcontractor wasn't doing it right hence the blowouts. Also the wall form manufacturer made sure that the wall interconnect keepers were observed and tweaked as the pour continued.
Because of that experience from then on I could tell wether or not a customer had their walls formed up and braced properly.
I drove a concrete truck for thirty five years. One of my job responsibilities was to be a quality control person on jobs to limit my company's liability in case things went sideways

Not sure in your county but I think your required to have a “No wake zone” sign on the lake.😂

Stabila make a good laser BUT I was very disappointed in the last one I will ever buy from them - the warranty had just ended and it stopped working - it was well cared for - sent it in for repair to Stabila and was told - sorry - we cannot get the part required for this model anymore so you will have to buy a new one. I was not impressed given that it was out of warranty by about 30 days. The Milwaukee, Dewalt, Leica and Topcon work just as well.

How come all these are horizontal and in a diff vid you did the upper 8 feet vert? Which do you like better? Also, do you have a link to the hardware/MDO?

How long does a set of forms last when you are constantly screwing and nailing into them for each job?

Great work! Love the explanations of the details and future planning. Why you do things is every bit as important as how you do things.
Thanks for the tutorials. I'm framing my own house right now. I watched your videos and I'm pretty much an expert now. 🤣

You know how much I love this channel ... the voice over sound is great and the explanations of the projects is always a delight ... the learning is incredible ... just please please please don't take my title as the " Biggest Idiot in the World". I've earned it and super competitive about it. Cheers guys

Did you see that thing in the water at 0:15 - beside the plank that's lying in the water - looks like it might be alive. Seemed to go hide behind that rock.

Do the metal spreader cleats that are on top of the concrete form panels stay in place after the walls are formed or so you pull them out at some point?

How do you go about finding a good guy like Noah to learn the trade? Shane was pretty good too. We've tried Indeed and Craigslist with not much luck out here in the Northeast.
