Looks great! Been fun watching you bring it back. He did really good on the signature, looked like the original painter did it.

On/off switch may have just been the tether kill switch(required for racing) which would be attached to the pilot.

Fuel bikes use a fuel shutoff for the teather kill switch it's a pin that holds the spring loaded petcock open that attaches to the rider. Don't believe they used an electric switch as well but could be wrong.

I know all about teather kill switch. They are not normally used as the main on off at least not on any Dragbike I have ever ridden or worked on. And the Nitro bikes used fuel cutoffs don't believe they used and electric cutoff too.

@@GattisGarage It depends on what racing sanction you run in, (which may not mater in this case) but most sanction have similar rules.
On gas classes, you must have a tether switch that kills the ignition if the rider leaves the bike.
Most sanctions require that nitro classes have an emergency fuel and ignition kill tether switch. Some sanctions omit the fuel part.
This is for AMRA, AHDRA and the former ADBA, the sanctions we raced in---prior to 2010 so the rules could have changed
What are you going to do with the bike?
Whatever you do, do it safely!!

Yeah I know exactly what they are. This bike was built in the late 80's so not sure what is needed but it definitely didn't have an ignition kill on it when I got it. And yeah definitely doesn't matter on this as this bike will never pass modern tech anyway.
