You don’t need ECFMG certificate to apply for the house physician license. As far as getting job with the certificate, different hospitals will have different requirements so if a hospital requires ECFMG certificate, that means you should pass step 1, step 2 and OET exams before they can employ you for that position. However I believe not all hospitals will require that.

Post residency in new york, I practiced internal medicine in South Carolina for 1 year on a H1B visa.in 2009. I left usa same year to continue practising medicine in Africa till date for family reasons. Now i need to return back to USA to continue my medical practice after leaving USA for 14 years?. . How should I proceed? . Which state medical licence would be easy to obtain in my situation ?. can i still apply for a job for H1B processing. THANKS

Actually, you don’t need the USMLE steps. I’m currently working as a House Physician and I haven’t taken step 3, and one my colleagues (also house physician) haven’t taken any steps! So it has to do more with the hospital preferences.
You need to find a hospital in Florida ( you can google hospitals in Florida) then apply to work as house physician. After applying and waiting for response you can use that hospital’s details to fill that section.

Hi. To get a social security number, you need have USA work permit or be eligible to work in USA

I have my ECFMG certification and I am fully trained in family medicine out side the US, can I apply if I don’t live in the US.
But do you need to pass step 1,2,3 to apply for this. Bc i called the boards 3 mnths ago and they said nothing about exams
You don’t need to pass any of the steps to apply for this. However you have to be eligible to work in USA. ie you must have a social security number

Please correct your title. Residency is not required but as an IMG you have to pass all USMLEs. That’s a requirement for IMGs or FMGs.

To practice as a physician assistant, you need to finish physician assistant school in USA then pass physician assistant licensing exams.
