Hey why do put semolina? In bakeries they don't put it.. And on which rack did u bake(low or high) coz when I baked it on low rack, it got burned in the center so I covered it with foil too but it took veryyy long time to bake.. Idk what went wrong
Semolina gives it the body else it will turn out like caramel pudding. I keep it in the centre with to and bottom heat, then once it is cooked turn the top rod on High to brown the top
Walaikum assalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu. Yes you can dear but you won't get the golden crust on top. You can keep it in coal as the traditional way, coal on the bottom and top of the vessel lid for the brown crust.
I am really sorry I was so busy I dint notice your message. Stove top is the same procedure like you bake a cake, but you won't get the top red crust. Traditional method is to keep over wood fire, with equal fire under and over the tin with lid covered
