- Ok, so this is a crack open and recap video ... I think I gigged this amp 2006-2008... a friend had some questions ... about setting a bass amp up for guitar... so lets look at what I did years ago

Glad to see a new video from you! “Park head “ used to send me personal traynor repair/mod tips even before TH-cam was a thing. 👍🏻
Another great mod to do to this amp is add unused half of V1 into the circuit for more gain. I have two of these amplifiers and I’ve done just that to one and the other. I’ve added another 12 AX7 with the Trainwreck Express preamp -now that’s an amp!
This guy is a complete nerd and I loved every second of it. I'm looking at one listed locally, and now I might have to pick it up.
Wow! Thank you, Pat! I have a 6V6 and an El84 yba2. I love the easily reversible mods. Much appreciated!
Thanks for the cool tips Pat. I have one of these and it's my favorite amp. I've been using a J. Rockett Archer to get a little more midrange out of it in the past but will try this mod.
Hey, Where is Everyone!!! Watch and learn from Pat. Thank you Pat. As always you have the best ears for tuning tube amps!!!
Great video, could you add a switch or pot there too make the resistance variable?
When you say you bypass the slope resistor, are you just adding another in parallel with the original, or is the original out of the circuit altogether?
Just adding another value in parallel
@@patfurlan - Thanks. I’m thinking a 56k will work in either circuit. I love yba2s!
I've been looking at your videos concerning Traynor amps and the various mods/fixes you suggest. Have you done any work on a YRM 1SC model? I own one and was wondering if there are any mod recommendations for improving the tone. It already sounds pretty good.
Thanks
Pat rocks!!
Great tips. Any chance of a vid on the YRM1 or YGL Traynor models if you come across one?
cool, thanks
I have a guitar mate but want to slow down the trem and swap out the reverb tank
I have a video on slowing the trem
