Back where it all began in the United States for The Beatles, The Ed Sullivan Theater, which is now the studio for The David Letterman Show. Paul has come full circle, and still going strong. Love you, Paul. Thank you for the wonderful music all these many years. We truly miss John and George, and the others, may they all rest in peace. It's wonderful when you and Ringo get together and perform!
Brad MacArthur that entire album rocked live. Paul probably belonged on stage more than he was. The guy has more money than God, but touring is frigging hard, and he still mounts the stage and seems to love it. Some friends told me touring was a young man's game but there are a few that live to do it.
This is the video that made me seek out more McCartney solo music, and I haven't looked back since. I swear, I could live off of this music. Also, it's amazing how much sex appeal a man in his sixties can still have to a young woman!!
One of the cool things of working in New York City is that cool free stuff like this happens all the time. At a pizza shop on my lunch hour got to meet and shake hands with Mike Tyson, meeting a friend who worked in the GE Bldg got to meet Ringo Starr coming out of an elevator. Saw Dustin Hoffman coming out of a theater and got an autograph. Used to be free summer concerts during lunch hour in the plaza at World Trade Ctr with a lot of famous group. All just part of NYC life.
Una versione caldissima e molto sentita dagli strumentisti, del resto con tutta la gente sotto a guardare o sei un vero musicista o cambi mestiere....e poi se ti chiami Paul Macca il gioco è fatto. Hare Krishna.
The Beatles didn't get arrested when the played on the rooftop in 69'. The police came and the older people were complaining they were interrupting businesses. But Paul did get arrested for a couple weeks in 1980 because they found marijuana in his suitcase.
Right you are!!!!!! Paul, George and John were all guitar players and actually flipped a coin to see who would play bass in the group!!!! Paul lost the coin toss!!!!!
This would have made an amazing Beatles song. If you take the best songs J, P, G and even R were putting out in the early 70's they would have still been making incredible albums for quite a while after Abbey Road.
@wheatonna he never got arrested, neither did the other Beatles. When their roadie was warning them that the cops wanted to do it hey actually thought it would be such an awesome finish to the movie. THeir attitude was "Yeah? Let 'em do it - great finish to the movie right there!" lol But they never arrested them. Now thinking of it...that probably would've been such a kickass finish. Haha!!
You can bet that Letterman blew some budget money for that concert!!!!!!!!! They reenforced under neath the sign - and McCartney ain't cheap!!!!!!!!!!! I've heard don't plug nothing in - unless you got $2,500,000 - not sure if that is for the band or just McCartney - but McCartney did not become a BILLIONAIRE by doing this on the cheap!!! And regardless of what you pay him - he'll make it back if you have a big enough venue!!!!!

I like the piano solo in the live version. I was blown away by how much better this song was live when I seen him in 09.

cool COOL!
Only Paul McCartney can stop New York.
@olipaquet Nice, only my teachers realy know what i'm taling about when I talk about Paul McCartney
The reason this tune feels like a tribute to Lennon, or in the style of Lennon is because it's well known that it is.
who is the drummer in Pauls band? he rocks!
one question? how did they get all the equipment there?
That concept of a rooftop gig - seems familiar to a beatle fan...lol
o I might have fainted at this point lol I cant tell u how I feel
@windstruckladyc ....I heard that!
Right you are!!!!!! Paul, George and John were all guitar players and actually flipped a coin to see who would play bass in the group!!!! Paul lost the coin toss!!!!!
Haha funny guitar joke at 1:35

@julian1775 Yes they are but this year is way better plus the teacher loves him too.
So cool that he could play on the rooftop and not get arrested like he did the first time.
If I recall correctly, it was the B side to Helen Wheels.
@alternit Abe Laboriel Jr.
"Epic actually" (Reggie Bannister)
@Goldensea234 same thing for me
This guy is good but he aint PAUL.....HE AINT DEAD....YET.
I wonder who disliked it?
@Goldensea234 The only one?? What kind of a class is that? Are they aliens?

Well he was pushing his new album this time so I doubt that he was paid much. Plus, it doesn't look like the crowd had to pay.
It's the side of a Bee.Do you really not know or just Jokiing?
The 18 and 19 year olds may need telling what a "B" side is..not meaning to be patronising or anything.
Mmm.
Oh the live version is way better
He'll play at your kids birthday party....for a $1 million....serious!
what's a B side? lol jk
LISTEN UP..ONE MORE TIME...THE REAL PAUL..IS..DEAD..
