Two recently declassified Intelligence Bureau files have revealed that the Jawaharlal Nehru government kept a close eye on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's family for nearly two decades. The government was not sure whether Bose was dead, and thought that if he were alive he would be in some form of communication with his family in Calcutta, explains Anuj Dhar while shedding light on some of the biggest unsolved mysteries of India.
Context :
INC president Bose was the Indian National Congress president in 1939 but quit following political differences with Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru. He escaped from India, first to Hitler's Germany, and later to Japan, where he revived the 40,000-strong Indian National Army in 1943, the first military resistance to the British since the 1857 War of Independence.
Bose, then 48, is thought to have died in a mysterious air crash in Taiwan on August 18, 1945, three days after Japan's surrender to the Allied forces.
The mystery around his disappearance has only been enhanced by over 150 files kept with the PMO, IB, Home Ministry and External Affairs Ministry, which the government has refused to declassify for decades. Anuj Dhar, the author of 'India's Biggest Cover-Up' who first spotted the files at National Archives in January 2015.
Anuj Dhar has researched the issue of Subhas Chandra Bose's mysterious disappearance for over a decade. His 2012 bestselling book triggered the demand for declassification of the Bose files.

Newspapers, intelligence reports, govt reports of local regional and national level offices, parties manifestos and agendas, pamphlets, etc etc.. It wasn't declassified by NDA. It was declassified accidentally during the term of UPA 2.0, after RTI case went into CIC, and CIC ordered in favour of declassification.
All these things happened during 2006 to 2010, while files finally came into archive by 2014.
Around 10000 pages were declassified, which has few pages related to Snooping.
That's the true story.

A book i.e. " All the Prime Minister's men" written by M.O.Mathaaee was removed from the market immediately after National Emergency was declared. What was there in the kitaab ? If it is available in the public domain ? Perhaps many facts of Indian history have been supressed by under surfacing this book.
I couldn't find anything related to this on Google. One book by Janadan Thakur is there, though
