Hi. The estuary of the river Camel can throw up a few surprises, many flatfish this time of year. If you head for the headlands float fish or spin. Be careful with the tides and waves. Jezza
Hi Jez, fab video. I’m visiting Cornwall in two weeks for my birthday. Would you have any suggestions of marks? We’re staying in Hayle. Will be doing some spinning and some bait fishing. Understandable if you don’t want to give away solid marks but just some recommendation of somewhere that is peaceful would be grateful. Thanks, Ben
Hi Ben. I don’t know that part of the Cornish coast well so can’t advise on marks, but you could try the headlands in and around St Ives, then of course you have the south coast in and around Penzance. Have a great holiday. Jezza
Very nice video ! I’m going on holiday northern Cornwall 5th June near Widemouth bay. Could you please advise me on good spots for seabass lure fishing ? I would appreciate any information
Hi. Unfortunately I have not fished around the Bude - Widemouth area the closest I’ve been is near Port Isaac The local tackle shops would be a better ask. But the lures I would try would be any weedless sand eel or a dexter wedge. Let me know how you get on. Jezza H
@@JezzaH-15 Thank you very much for the information. I don’t mind to travel. Any good spots for seabass near you ? I’m travelling with my little daughter and we don’t have much time to explore. I would appreciate any information. Thank you 😊
hi. thanks for subscribing. all my rods are 12 feet (just under 4 metres). the rod with the soft lure casts up to 4oz ( 100g ) the float rod casts up to 6oz (150g ) and the other can cast up to 8oz (200g). I hope that helps.
Hi. Thanks for your inquiry. The spinning rod is a Daiwa strike force 2 3/4lb specialist, which I used to use for carp fishing. The other 2 rods I used are a Daiwa strike force beach rod ( 4 - 6 oz ) and a Shakespeare AlphaX bass rod. I hope that’s helpful. Jezza

Nice video. Rumps?
The “Rumps” is the name of the headland, which is on the north coast of Cornwall.
@@JezzaH-15 I thought I recognised the little island! I go Mackie bashing there a lot, but have only bait fished it once.
Very nice spot to fish :)
Are you still diving these days?
suegav Watson-Bate I haven’t done as much diving as I would of liked. Have you been keeping well with this COVID thing?

Damian C05 Hi. Yes unfortunately there are a lot of people that catch / keep to many fish. I think you should only keep the fish you need.
