    How to make breeding/spawning mop? Have you used breeding mops in the past? What was your experience?

      I used some for medakas so that they won't eat the eggs and breed more!

    Hi does these need washing first coz I put one in my tank and the water went green

      You should rinse it, but even if you didn't - it shouldn't make your water green. There had to be some kind of dye on it. I would not use it to be honest :/

      Hi Tracy. I would say - yes. Spawning mops are also great as cover for fry. So all things considered - they will almost always increase survival rate to egg scattering fish.

    Hey Matt i was wondering if red heart acrylic yarn works? I boiled it to disinfect it and saw dye in the water. Is this yarn harmful to fish?

      Hi. Any color should work. Acrylic is good because it shouldn't rot in your tank. Leaching dye is not a great sigh, but if you boiled it first - it should be ok. Just rinse it properly afterwards, so the dye doesn't get soaked into the mop.

      @@AquascapingCube I threw the ones I boiled away and instead let it soak. I found some visible dye in the water. Would you be able to tell me the brand you use? I bought another one the other day but unfortunately it also dyed the water.

    Hi mate. I made one of these mop for myself.. the only issue is the mop itself floats.. any idea why? I basically had to put them upside side. The green mop float.. i use 100% acrylic yarn. Help???

      @AquascapingCube  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is strange. My guess is that you have a lot of air trapped inside. Try to squeeze the mop INSIDE the tank few times, to get rod of it. In general it should sink on its own as soon as it soaks in enough water.

    Should we boil mobs before put them in the tank?

    • @AquascapingCube
      @AquascapingCube  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can if you want to be extra careful. But I always only rinse them in tap water and never had any problems.

      Yes :) I will talk about the mop soon, but numbers of young are disappointing :/ But at least they are super cute and healthy :) I want them to grow a little bit and then show the results.
