Man your videos are top notch always. I also wanted to say how lucky you are to have your family there when you’re hunting back home . To be able to share those moments are priceless. I haven’t had for many years . My family has passed on or moved out of state. Thanks again for showing more than the hunt. Because the family time hanging out is a big part of it.
goats are savages. both of em' took that .308 and just looked back! what a cool animal definitely gained respect for goats from this. awesome hunt Samong!
Have hunted that area, good memories. Goats dont like to get wet. Theres some spots up top that are worth checking out when its really raining. Not sure of the status now. In 15' the then game warden told us about a place called nukula tract and how they were going to fence it and cull all the "invasives" out. I was able to sweet talk the np lady to let us park up top and walk off the south side, so you would start at 10k and hike your butt down to the tree line. It was like another world. Getting back up with full packs was absolutely brutal. Good times.
I got my CVA Cascade in 6.5 PRC in the Killik K2 Camo on sale for $529 a couple years ago. I drove an hour to pick it up and I really love it. Hopefully I can take it on a hunt someday.
Slow roasted in a fire pit, it amazing.. 1tbs garlic powder 1tbs onion powder 1tbp smoked paprika Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste Sea salt , to taste Pinch or two of ground clove. Mix together and this is your Rub. Don't forget the mint jelly for dipping sauce..
When the flies are really bad and to help keep them off the game bag even, theres a citrus based powder you can mix with water and spray the bag down and not cause the meat to take on the flavor. Have used it on quarters of elk hung in a tree while packing, when someone didnt bring the bags. What did a deboned goat weigh?
Absolutely enjoy your natural and off-handed footage. It's both entertaining and educational at the same time. You got me laughing when you were admiring and processing your first goat, but then spotted some more, and you just pulled off one glove, forgot about what you were doing, and honed in on some other goats. 👏 👍 Goat meat tastes a bit gamey, but that's only if it isn't seasoned well. And just like any other meat, certain spices and aromatics complement goat meat superbly. It's a pity goat meat doesn't have a good reputation in the US especially, but all around the world, goat meat is quite popular as you have stated. Plus, you simply can't go wrong with curried goat. 👍 I'd be interested in some guidelines as regards processing meat in the field in hot climates as you've done in this post since it's a different ball game in cool or colder climates. Once again, exceedingly well done, and best always. ✨
I wish I could try fresh mango. Store bought mango always tastes like pine tar smells to me. Very sticky, dry, and HEAVY on a pine-ish taste for some reason
Awesome video makes me homesick but I couldn't afford the things I have here in the Mid-west. Left home in 79 came back home in 92 and didn't like how the island had changed so left in 2000 and been here ever since. Anyways stay safe out there and have a blessed day. Aloha from Kansas
Born raise Hawaii the Big Island hunted goats pigs sheep and all birds was part of gathering- ow in Washington for sometime I archery hunting Mule deer Blacktail elk bear cougar now
I have the same bi-pod in my .300WSM… I got it because of how light weight it is. How is it unstable for you? Because of how it cants? Just curious.. cool Hawaii hunt!
Just wanted to let you know, your explanation of the difference between horns and antlers is wrong. Antlers are bone, whereas horns are hair. Pronghorn antelope have horns, they shed them every year just like a deer sheds it's antlers.
Yes and no pronghorn shed there horn sheath not there entire horn grew up with lots of them around in Alberta but for someone that has little experience with hunting that was a perfect explanation of the difference between then in 99% of cases antlers shed yearly and horns constantly grew throughout life
Your comment about horned vs antlered animals is accurate except for American pronghorn. They are the only horned animal in the world that sheds their horns annually. They also happen to be delicious and super fun to hunt!
@Krel-888 dude they aren't designed to expand the same lol can't any of you read? Furthermore you don't needt much expansion from a solid copper if any dependent on the bullet style. I have shot 7 deer with underwood xtreme hunters 10mm 150grains. The wound channels are PHENOMENAL, yet there's "energy dump" so you get increased penetration. I can shoot through both front legs of any animal in north america from 20-40 yds minus moose and large brown bears. Solid copper 10mm.
Just curious young man.Been watching a lot of videos about Hawaii hunting but I've never seen offense. If there's such a nuisance, why are they fencing them in?So they can't get away.I guess it's easier to go hunt them. But the concept seems weird if they don't want them around. Why are they corralling them
They’re not fencing in the goats. They’re fencing them out. The fence is built around native plants that’s close to being extinct. Goats as you know will eat almost anything 🤙

That goat took that first round like a champ. It’s incredible hkw tough they are..

They are crazy critters. It gets really tough when they run vertical uphill too

A very well done video as expected from you Samong. You and Jacob are good hunters.
I love how you guys share each of your traditions mango app. I love green baby mangos with the fish sauce pepper!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Keep it up Samong!!!
You should try the mango local style. Equal parts shoyu and sugar, add as much chili peppers you like. Might be too sweet for Samong though.
Love your videos-keep them coming Samong ❤
This is a hunt i have allways wanted to go on.
Injoy your contant.

Those goats are everywhere in Hawaii. They aren't afraid of human at all.
That chain link fence line looks like you are on Kahikinui mauka on Maui?
You're one of the G.O.A.T's
Hey, Samong. When will the beanies be back in stock? 🤔
Yum fresh goat !
love the hunting videos!

What did a deboned goat weigh?
Varied depending on the goats. 20-80lbs. Wait till the next episode😉
I think like big horned sheep Dall Sheep do they shed their horns ?
Yes... can't wait for part 3 thx 👍
Laos 🇱🇦 in the house 🫡
Wondering if you Reload for your rifles?
Only some. Most of my rifles are shooting factory at the moment.
Hey just wondering what is the piece of paper on the side of the gun for? Is that for holdover? Also the tape on the scope too?
DOPE sheet
Lol! I retract my previous curry comment. Well done !
Nice hunt Samong😅🙂🙂

Need to add more Tajin to the mango’s ;)
I'm weird I guess, I'll even go just salt and lime most of the time but that's just me😂

Nice horns on 2nd goat. Cool hunt!

Add some MSG and sugar next time Somong..

The backstrap meat looked alot like the straps on beaver which is some of the best I've had
I literally sat here and waited for you to post the second video.
Sound like you have a boring life..
Nice shots
Yes that was an axis deer. They make that sound even when alerted.

All horn will shed below freezing temperatures

@@TouLee-t7kdall, stone, and Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep all live in below freezing winters and keep there horns throughout their life…..
@@TouLee-t7k BS, I've never seen a cow drop theirs due to temps.
You shot Black Phillip 😂
I was telling Samong that but he didn't get the reference🤣🤣🤣
Wouldst thou like to live deliciously
@@jacob__villasenor haha you’re going to have to make him watch it now😂
Male: billy. Female: nanny.
have you try 165 gr? does it group better for you on the 155 gr?
Goat is good any way ya make it'''
Where did you get the info to diy hunt in Hawaii?
😊👍👍👍
3 per day without a yearly limit is what I'm seeing? That's....a lot of meat. LOL
Daily bag limit is 2 goats of either sex per hunter.
Looks like the lower slopes of Haleakala.
Mid slopes lol
No spot burning
@SammyMoore-tg5gs it's state land haole boy...Hawaii and Hawaiians ain't like the whites....everyone can go state land and they share information lol

😋😋😋👍
The magpul bipod need forward pressure then she'll get solid
You need to watch some of ranch fairys content on shot placement and the "vital v"
Too easy hunting those goat
Thats the outcome of many barnes ttsx bullets unfortunately. Domt expand.
They are solid copper they are barely supposed to expand 😅😅

Stink billys!!😅😅

👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾
You dogged the best bipod in the market.
The magpul bipod is trash. It’s wobbly, noisy, and too expensive for what you get.

You guys should not talk so much, just film the hunt!
Stop doing that poor animals
Hunting at night is the best part of maui...full moon amd dogs or no moon spotlights and deer!
When you get into the redwoods you getting close to the action!
That's not true about the horns.
Prong horn antelope shed their horns. It's like a sheath that comes off. I have found a few in SD.
u r really good!!!......horns are hair
Do they all shed in freezing temperatures?
Upcountry mountain axis deer can be well over 200lbs
