Hello! I have a question. Lets say my shopping cart Is about 150, and I have a 100$ gift card. At the moment of checkout, would I be able to pay the difference with a credit card?
Hi there, yes, at checkout you will be able to pay part of your order with your gift card and part of it with your credit card. You will see those options in the video at the checkout section.
@@AnthonyGodinho hello, sir. I am from a foreign country (Philippines) i ordered some items on amazon and one of them is a console(Switch lite) and the others are accessories. I'm wondering if there's extra fees i have to pay when the packages have arrived in my house. Do i have to pay for customs clearance? Even though I've paid everything. (Shipping, import fees) the accessories cost less so i only paid for their shipping fees. i hope you can answer my question, thank you.
Hi there, yes, based on my own experience buying from the Amazon US site (being a Canadian), I've had to pay shipping and customs fees. However, it's all included in the order when you pay for your purchase. You shouldn't have to pay any additional fees.
Do you have to enter card information if you have enough to pay with amazon gift card balance? I know there won't be any charges to the card balance while paying with the amazon gift card balance, but is it mandatory to enter the information for the card? Also, how do you pick the "Free shipping" option on computer?
Hi Emily, yes, most likely you will be required to enter your credit or debit card information even if you're using your Amazon gift card and have enough money to pay for your order using the gift card. If you've not yet redeemed your gift card and added the money your your Amazon gift card balance, you can try doing so at checkout (without entering your credit or debit card information). If you're not able to proceed, then it indicates that you will be required. You can always delete the credit/debit card information as soon as your order is processed. In terms of your question on free shipping. It will really depend on whether your have Amazon Prime or the product(s) that you pick have free shipping. You will be able to tell at checkout if you will be charged for shipping. Hope this helps...cheers!
If it is my first time buying on Amazon with a new account is it obligatory to put a credit or debit card even though I'm going to pay with the gift card?
Hi there, yes, if this is your first time buying on Amazon using a gift card, you may be required to enter your debit or credit card information for verification and security reasons. If you have enough money on your gift card balance, Amazon will not charge your debit/credit card. Hope this helps...cheers!
So if I have 50$ Amazon gift card and I buy a 25 dollars item from Amazon and the total is 0 dollars does that mean that I don't have to pay for shipping delivery when it comes to my house?
Hi there, yes, all the cost of the product plus shipping will be charged to your gift card and you won't have to pay anymore for shipping when it's delivered to your home.
@IsaiahAnthonyCruz if you've already redeemed your gift card in your Amazon gift card balance, most likely you'll need to enter your debit or credit card information for verification and security reasons. Amazon will not charge your debit/credit card if you have enough money in your gift card balance to pay for your order. Hope this helps...cheers!
@@AnthonyGodinho If I've entered my card information but don't want to use it. Can I still use my Amazon Balance with the redeemed gift card for the total payment if I have enough money for the item?
@IsaiahAnthonyCruz yes, you can. Make sure to choose the Gift Card Balance checkbox at checkout, so that you use your Amazon gift card balance to pay for your purchase.
Hi Igor, as far as I know, there are no limits on use of Amazon gift cards per week or month. That being said, for Amazon Cash, I believe the limit per transaction is up to $500.
@@AnthonyGodinho hi, I would buy jmgo n1 projector to indonesia around 900 usd with shipping n tax, but I don't have credit card. And I think more than 700 usd is not available cast payment (fia western Union or other). Could I use this method for payments? Is there max bill to use voucher? Thx
Hi @Nawi2020 you would need to contact Amazon directly to see if they do accept other methods of payment to help you ship to Indonesia. One way that I know that may work is to get a prepaid VISA credit card. You'll have to make sure it is an international prepaid VISA card. But, still I would suggest contacting Amazon first to get confirmation from them.
Have you done a video on how to pre-order with an Amazon gift card like do you still need funds on the card after your pre-order is accepted to pay it off because the way it goes I thought was you get a certain amount for like a game let's just say PS5 game that's $70 and it takes that amount out of the gift card Will you be able to get it as soon as it shipped and is it paid off then since you pre-ordered it? Thanks
Hi there, yes, the process of payment with a gift card is same for pre-orders. Once you pay for the pre-order the payment is taken right away and then when it is shipped to you, you don't have to pay any additional money. Hope this clarifies your question.
Hi there do u need to have another form of credit card like a Visa or MasterCard ? I have never bought anything online before and would like to learn how to shop on Amazon
Hi Emily, if this is the first time you're shopping on Amazon using your gift card, then yes, Amazon will most likely require you to enter your debit or credit card information for verification and security reasons. If you have enough balance in your gift card to pay for your purchase, Amazon will not charge your debit or credit card. Hope this answers your question and helps...cheers!
i know this is a year ago but if i bought an item with a gift card and then redeemed another gift card during the purchasing will i be able to purchase the second item or would it go to the balance and i wouldnt be able to buy anything?
Hi there, if you redeem another gift card during the checkout process, it will use the new gift card amount if you need additional fund to pay for the purchase. Any remaining funds from the new gift card will be added to your Amazon gift card balance to use on a later purchase. Hope this answers your question...cheers!
Oh ok, so looks like you already tried it. However, if you tried it on your phone first and it was added to your account balance, are you saying that you were able to use the same claim code when you did it on your computer? If so, that's odd because the claim code was already redeemed.
Hi there, as far as I know, Amazon accepts Visa debit and credit cards in the US. They also accept Visa, MasterCard, or American Express prepaid credit cards.
Hi there, yes, if you have enough funds in your Amazon gift card or balance and you choose the gift card option to pay for your order, then Amazon will not charge your debit card. That being said, there are some products that you cannot pay using an Amazon gift card, but you can for most products.
Hi, can you choose a specific amount of your gift card balance to use? My order exceeds my balance, but I do not want to use all my credit to pay for my items.
Hi Ellie, I don't think there is an option to use only a specific amount on your Amazon gift card balance. If you don't have enough in your gift card balance, to pay for your order, it will automatically take the rest from your credit card on file. But, to ensure that it uses your gift card balance, you need to make sure that you choose the gift card balance at checkout. In most cases, it will automatically choose it.
hi I just want to know, when you have you may have to put your credit card info in but if you have enough money on your gift card it won't be charged does that mean that if I want to buy somthing for 49,99 and I have a 50 dollars gift card I don't have to put my credit card ?
Hi there, for first-time Amazon buyers who use a gift card to purchase on Amazon, you may be required to enter your debit or credit card information. This is required for verification and security reasons. So, even if you have enough money in your gift card to pay for you purchase, you may still be required to enter your debit/credit card information. Amazon will not charge your debit/credit card if there is enough money in your gift card to pay for the purchase. Hope this makes sense and helps...cheers!
Hi there, if you've not applied your Amazon gift card claim code to your Amazon account yet, then what you can try is using the gift card claim code directly at checkout. This has worked for some of my viewers in the past. I'm not sure if it will still work, but you can try that. If not, you can contact Amazon customer service and see if they can manually verify your Amazon account without a debit/credit card. Alternatively, you can look at getting a prepaid VISA card from retailers like Walmart even if it has a small balance of like $10 and then use that instead of a regular credit card. Hope one of these options works for you...cheers!
Hi Shahbaz, yes, you can purchase most items on Amazon using a gift card. However, there are some restrictions, for example, you cannot purchase another gift card.

You're welcome Shahbaz. Unfortunately, I don't trade Amazon gift card so I can't recommend any legit people or places to do so. There are sites where you can trade gift cards, but given that I've personally not tried them, I can't honestly suggest any.
@@AnthonyGodinho sir kindly tell me if can I use these cards to buy prime membership on amazon. or can I pay my seller central professional plan fee with these cards
Hi Alex, if this is the first time you're buying on Amazon and using your gift card, then most likely you will need to enter your debit or credit card information. Amazon will not charge your debit/credit card if you have enough money in your gift card to pay for your purchase. I don't think it will accept an expired credit or debit card, but you can try it. Alternatively, you can also use a prepaid VISA card which you can get from Retailers like Walmart, even if it has a small balance like $10.
Hi there, I don't think there is a limit to the number of gift cards you can use. But, if you have multiple gift cards, you can just apply them directly to your Amazon account and then use the gift card balance at checkout.
Hi there, yes, you can use your gift card balance and your credit card on the same transaction to pay for your Amazon order. Just make sure to choose the credit card you want (if your have multiple credit cards added) and also check the gift card balance option.
Hi, if this is the first-time you're buying on Amazon, using your gift card balance, you may need to enter your debit or credit card information for verification and security reasons. You should then be able to select the gift card balance option. If you have enough money in your gift card balance to pay for your purchase, Amazon will not charge your debit/credit card. Hi Arjun, if this is your first time buying on Amazon using a gift card (or gift card balance), then you may be required to add your debit or credit card details for verification and security reasons. Hi there, if you already redeemed your gift card in your Amazon gift card balance, most likely, you'll need to add your debit or credit card details in your Amazon account for verification and security reasons. They won't charge your debit/credit card if you have enough money on your Amazon gift card balance to pay for your order.
Hi there, no, the items that you order will not display in your credit card statement or history. It will only list down the transaction from Amazon. The individual items will be displayed in your Amazon account, not your credit card account. Hope this helps...cheers!
will it send a message to the credit/debit card if i do this? like for example, if i use my gift cards will it send a message saying "this order has been placed using your credit card"?
Hi there, when you say "digital code for PlayStation Xbox etc." I'm assuming you're referring to a digital gift card? If so, as far as I know, based on Amazon policies, I don't think you can buy another gift card with the Amazon gift card or gift card balance. That being said, you can confirm this with Amazon using their live chat option. You will find it under the Help section. If you can't find it, check my tutorial on how to use Amazon live chat. You will find the link in the description section.
Hello. Kindly amswer my question. If someone frim another country send me gift card via emial, can i buy things from my home country using that guft card? Cuz i have heard that gift cards work in same country not in different.
Hi Zubair, if the Amazon gift card you received is a US dollar gift card, then you can only use it on the US Amazon website. Similarly, a Canadian dollar Amazon gift card can only be used on the Canada Amazon website. So, you cannot use a US dollar gift card on the Canadian website. Hope this answers your question...cheers!
Hi there, yes, you can, though if it is your first time, Amazon may require you to enter your credit or debit card information for verification and security reasons. They will not charge your credit/debit card if you have enough money in your gift card balance to pay for your order.
Hi there, yes, if the cost of all the items in your Amazon cart, including taxes and shipping, are equal to or lower than your gift card balance, you will be able to purchase your items. However, bear in mind that there are some items that cannot be purchased using the gift card balance. For example, you can't buy another gift card with your gift card balance.
Hi there, in some cases, if you use the Amazon gift card claim code directly at checkout instead of first applying it to you Amazon account, you may be able to bypass the debit/credit card requirement. That being said, for first-time Amazon buyers who are using a gift card, Amazon requires a debit or credit card for verification and security reasons. They will not charge your debit/credit card if you have enough balance in your gift card to pay for the purchase.
Hi Matthew, I'm not sure what balance are you referring to. Can you please clarify? If you received an Amazon gift card, you can redeem it and add it to your Amazon gift card balance and then use it to pay for your purchases on Amazon.
Hi there, if you've not yet applied your gift card claim code to your Amazon account, you can try using it directly at checkout and see if it works without having to enter debit/credit card details. If you're not able to, you will most likely need a debit or credit card. You can try contacting Amazon to see if they can help you with that.
Hi there, yes, at checkout you can enter choose your gift card balance and also your debit card, so Amazon will use the $9 from your gift card balance and the rest from your debit card.

Hi Angel, yeah, Amazon requires a credit or debit card for first-time buyers when using an Amazon gift card. From communicating with them previously, I was told that they also accept prepaid VISA credit cards. These are not the same as VISA gift cards. Given that your Amazon account has been locked, I would suggest that you contact them live and let them know the issue you're facing. Once they verify your account, you should not have this issue again. Generally, when I need to contact Amazon, I use the live online chat option which you will find in the Help section of the website. If you can't find it, check my video tutorial on how to use Amazon live chat. You will find the link in the description section. Hope you're able to get this sorted out soon and won't face this issue again. Do let me know how it goes. Cheers!

Hi @limeking6902 if you've not yet redeemed your Amazon gift card claim code, you can try using the claim code directly at checkout. Hi Nathan, initially when you opened your Amazon account did you enter your debit or credit card information? If you didn't, that could be the reason. On your initial purchase, if you entered your gift card claim code directly at checkout, it may have allowed you to go ahead with your purchase. But once the balance is added to your gift card balance, you may be required to add your debit or credit card information. If you have enough money in your gift card balance to pay for your purchase, Amazon will not charge your debit/credit card.

Yeah, I know it's not a fair policy, but you can try and get in touch with Amazon customer service and see if they can help verify with a debit or credit card. I believe they also accept a prepaid VISA card instead of a regular credit card.
Hi, yes, it has to be an Amazon gift card. Also, you have to make sure that the US$ gift cards are only used on the US Amazon site. So, for example, you can't use the US$ gift card on the Canadian Amazon site.
Hi again, yes, there are ways to earn free Amazon gift cards. For example, I've shared a couple of videos, on my TH-cam channel, in which I've redeemed my survey points for Amazon gift cards. Essentially, you take take surveys regularly and accumulate point which can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards. There are other ways too, but beware that there are also scams out there.
Hi there, so you don't see "available balance" at checkout? If not, go to your gift card balance section (in your Amazon account) to make sure that Amazon gift claim code that you applied was successful. If you see that balance there, it could be that what you're purchasing is not eligible to be paid using the gift card balance. Also, if you're buying on Amazon for the first time, you may need to make sure you add a debit or credit card to your Amazon account for verification and security reasons.
Hi there, when you're saying you have $12 in your card, which card are you referring to? Is this the debit/credit card or gift card? At checkout, you should be able to choose both options.

Hi there, if you've already redeemed your Amazon gift card codes, they will be added to your gift card balance. You can check that in your Amazon account. When paying for your order using your gift card balance, you need to make sure to check the box (at checkout) to use your gift card balance. Sometimes the option of gift card payment disappears and only gives me the option of paying with my debit card. Am I safe to proceed in using my debit card since it will just deduct from my amazon gift card balance when I use it as payment?
Hi there, if you're using your Amazon gift card balance for the first time on Amazon, they may need you to enter your debit/credit card information for verification and security reasons. Yes, it's safe to enter your debit/credit card (I've done it myself). However, make sure to check the "Use Amazon Gift Card Balance" option at checkout if you want to use your gift card balance. If you have enough money in your gift card balance to pay for your purchase, Amazon won't charge your debit/credit card for the transaction. Hope this helps...cheers!

@dencho3003 yeah, that's weird indeed. I've personally not experienced that using the web version or the mobile version. I created a separate video for the mobile app version of Amazon. That being said, there are certain items that cannot be purchased using the gift card balance, so it could be that you had one or more items that were not eligible to be paid using your gift card balance? seriously, no one addresses the ability if available of CUSTOMIZING THE AMOUNT PAID FROM A GC BAL AND CC IE ON 200 ORDER PAY 100 WITH GC AND 100 WITH CC. ON APP OR PC IF U CLICK GC IT ATTEMPTS TO PAY WHOLE AMT FROM GC BAL IF IT CAN BUT THE OPTION TO PAY ANY AMOUNT FROM CC IS REMOVED. ANY WORKAROUNDS?
Hi there, good question! As far as I know, if you've already redeemed your Amazon gift cards into your Amazon account, generally-speaking it will attempt to use your gift card Balance first, before using your credit card. If you've already redeemed your gift cards and the balance is higher or equal to the amount of your order, then I don't think there is a workaround to stop Amazon from using a partial amount from your GC balance and the rest from your CC. I think the only option is to contact Customer Service and see if they can manually do it. They have probably set it up this way because in most cases I would think that customers would prefer using their Amazon gift card balance first and then their credit card. But, I see your point and I think it would be nice for Amazon to allow us to choose the amount that we would like to use from our gift card balance.
Hello I've recently used a gift card of 45 dollars and I have 10 dollars left in the card balance but it won't let me use it when I click on buy now it tells me what way do you wish to pay and i click on use balance but the option to pay with my balance won't go through
Hi there, when you used your Amazon gift card on your first order, did you enter your debit or credit card information? If not, you may be required to enter this information for verification and security reasons. If you have enough money if your gift card balance to pay for the order, Amazon will not charge your credit card. If you've previously entered your debit/credit card information, it could be that you're trying to purchase a product that is not eligible to be purchased using your gift card balance. Hello, I have received a gift card and redeemed to my amazon account. When I tried to purchase an item using my gift card from my account, I am requested to Enter a gift card or promotional code. I tried to enter the original gift card code, but it was not accepted as it has already been used. Which code do I need to enter to proceed?
I can see the item in my cart. But my balance still remained the same. Are they going charge me after I collect the item? Or I still did not the payment correctly?
Hi there, once you redeem your gift card claim code, the amount is added to your gift card balance. So, that's the reason it doesn't accept the claim code when you try to enter it again. At checkout, all you need to do is check the radio button (as you see in the video) that reads something like "Use gift card balance". If you have enough balance to pay for your purchase you should see that amount and it will use the entire amount for your purchase. At the end of the checkout process, it will show you how much you've used from your gift card balance (also shown in this video). Hope this helps...cheers!
Hi there, at which point when you hit "Continue". You may need to enter your debit or credit card information for verification and security reasons to proceed.
Hi Lilith, yeah, as far as I know, if you have the fund in your Amazon gift card balance to pay for the iPhone, you should be able to use it. i can use my gift card on amazon is just wants me to select an payment plan and i don't want to do that like I would like to buy the product now own it now and not PAY LATER Its how i do business will never change for me
Hi there, if you're using an Amazon gift card for the first time, Amazon may require you to add your credit or debit card information for security and verification purposes. If you have enough balance in your gift card to pay for your order, Amazon will not charge your credit or debit card. Is that what you're referring to? I've never seen a mandatory payment plan option. Even if they were to offer it to you, you should have an option to decline it and just use your gift card balance to pay for your purchase.
Hi there, I'm assuming that you applied the gift card claim code to your Amazon account? If so, it should show you that option at checkout. That being said, you won't see that option if you're trying to buy an item that is not eligible to pay using a gift card. For example, you cannot buy another gift card using your gift card balance. If it's none of the above, then you will need to contact Amazon customer service to check your account.

I'm worried I'll get locked and lose my £1750
Hi bro, you don't need to buy an Amazon gift card if you have a debit or credit card. You can just use your debit/credit card to make the purchase. I've made many purchases, including this year, on both US and Canadian Amazon websites and have not had any issues. Whenever I need to contact Amazon, I just use the live online chat option to contact them and I've never had any problems connecting with them. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask and I'd be happy to answer them. Hope this helps and all the best with your purchase...cheers!

Hi again bro, ok, I understand why you don't want to use your debit card. But yeah, you should be fine based on my own experience. I've done that myself and it wasn't an issue for me.
Hi there, if this is the first time you're using your Amazon gift card balance, you will most likely require to enter debit or credit card information. Hi Ines, if you don't have an Amazon gift card claim code, then did you receive the gift card via email? If so, what are the instructions on the email message? If there is no claim code, then there should be instructions on how to redeem the gift card using a button in the email message. This will lead you to your Amazon account (you will be required to sign in) and then the gift card amount will be added to your Amazon gift card balance. Once you've done so, you will be able to pay for your Amazon order using your gift card balance, like I showed you in this video. Hope this helps. If you have any specific questions, please ask and I will do my best to help...cheers!
Hi there, yeah, this is updated tutorial I created on how to pay with your Amazon gift card. Do you have a specific question? Do let me know and I will do my best to answer.
Hi Haley, what is not working for you? Can you be more specific and I'll do my best to help you. I've used this same approach multiple times, even earlier this month, and it works just fine for me. Have you already applied your Amazon gift card claim code to your Amazon account? Or are you applying it at checkout? Is this the first time you're buying on Amazon using your gift card? If so, have you added your debit or credit card details to your Amazon account? If this is the first time you're buying on Amazon and trying to use your gift card, you may be required to add your debit or credit card details for verification and security reasons. Amazon will not charge your debit/credit card if you have enough funds in your Amazon gift card to pay for your purchase.
Hi Sean, yes, you should be able to use both, you gift card balance and your debit/credit card. You will see these options at checkout (as you can see in this video as well).
@@AnthonyGodinho thank you for your response!
Is the shipping fee included in your gift card balance? No more extra fees to pay when the package has arrived?
Hi there, yes, you are correct. The shipping fee is also included, so you don't have to pay anything extra when the package arrives.
@@AnthonyGodinho i appreciate your response.
You're welcome!
@@AnthonyGodinhoI can use the Amazon balance with a redeemed gift card without the payment information just by clicking use the gift card?
@IsaiahAnthonyCruz if you've already redeemed your gift card in your Amazon gift card balance, most likely you'll need to enter your debit or credit card information for verification and security reasons.

@IsaiahAnthonyCruz yes, you can. Make sure to choose the Gift Card Balance checkbox at checkout, so that you use your Amazon gift card balance to pay for your purchase.
Hi, the question is, is there any limit on the use of gift cards per week or month?
Did this new T work.
Hi there do u need to have another form of credit card like a Visa or MasterCard ? I have never bought anything online before and would like to learn how to shop on Amazon
Hi Emily, if this is the first time you're shopping on Amazon using your gift card, then yes, Amazon will most likely require you to enter your debit or credit card information for verification and security reasons.

i know this is a year ago but if i bought an item with a gift card and then redeemed another gift card during the purchasing will i be able to purchase the second item or would it go to the balance and i wouldnt be able to buy anything?
Hi there, if you redeem another gift card during the checkout process, it will use the new gift card amount if you need additional fund to pay for the purchase. Any remaining funds from the new gift card will be added to your Amazon gift card balance to use on a later purchase. Hope this answers your question...cheers!
Ok so yes and no
On my phone it went to the account balance but on my computer I was able to complete the purchase
Oh ok, so looks like you already tried it. However, if you tried it on your phone first and it was added to your account balance, are you saying that you were able to use the same claim code when you did it on your computer? If so, that's odd because the claim code was already redeemed.
No it was two different codes
Oh ok, that makes sense.
Do you have to enter your debit card even though there not taking Visa anymore ?? Or will it have to be a different type of card ?
Hi there, as far as I know, Amazon accepts Visa debit and credit cards in the US. They also accept Visa, MasterCard, or American Express prepaid credit cards.
If I have a 100$ card and I buy something that is only 25$ can I use the card again for a different purchase?
Hi there, yes, the remaining money will be deposited in your Amazon gift card balance and you will be able to use it on your next purchase.
So practically the payment is done from amazon gift card balance instead of my debit card, right?

I do not have a credit card or debit card that is valid. How can I get around this? I got the amazon giftcard as a gift

That being said, if this is the first time you're using an Amazon gift card to pay for your order, you may be required to add a debit or credit card to your Amazon account for verification and security reasons. Once you do so, you will be able to use your gift card balance.
If you have enough money in your gift card balance to pay for your order, Amazon will not charge your debit or credit card.
@@AnthonyGodinho Alright thank you so much for your help and time
@hason5077 you're most welcome my friend...cheers!
seriously, no one addresses the ability if available of CUSTOMIZING THE AMOUNT PAID FROM A GC BAL AND CC IE ON 200 ORDER PAY 100 WITH GC AND 100 WITH CC.
For example, you cannot buy another gift card using your gift card balance.
How do I use mine
Hi Esaah, you can use your Amazon gift card claim code directly at checkout or first redeem it into your Amazon account. If this is the first time you're using your gift card to shop on Amazon, you may be required to enter your debit or credit card details for verification or security reasons.
@@AnthonyGodinho Thanks so much, it helps alot and it works as well. cheers!
@Weldegebrial Aregawi you're welcome! I'm glad it helped and worked for you. Thanks for letting me know...cheers!
When i hit countue nothing happens
Hi there, at which point when you hit "Continue". You may need to enter your debit or credit card information for verification and security reasons to proceed.
i live in japan now, and i want to buy iphone 14 for 150k yen, can i pay with amazon giftcard too?
Hi Lilith, yeah, as far as I know, if you have the fund in your Amazon gift card balance to pay for the iPhone, you should be able to use it. That being said, if this is the first time you're paying using your gift card balance, you may need to enter your debit or credit card information for verification and security reasons.
i can use my gift card on amazon is just wants me to select an payment plan and i don't want to do that like I would like to buy the product now own it now and not PAY LATER Its how i do business will never change for me
Hi there, if you're using an Amazon gift card for the first time, Amazon may require you to add your credit or debit card information for security and verification purposes. If you have enough balance in your gift card to pay for your order, Amazon will not charge your credit or debit card.
Is that what you're referring to? I've never seen a mandatory payment plan option. Even if they were to offer it to you, you should have an option to decline it and just use your gift card balance to pay for your purchase.
use available balance does not show up like at all
Hi there, I'm assuming that you applied the gift card claim code to your Amazon account? If so, it should show you that option at checkout. That being said, you won't see that option if you're trying to buy an item that is not eligible to pay using a gift card.
For example, you cannot buy another gift card using your gift card balance. If it's none of the above, then you will need to contact Amazon customer service to check your account.
hey bro, I'm going to buy a £1750 gift card to get a new laptop and it's my first time buying on Amazon. so I'm assuming I'll have to link my debit card for security reasons. The problem is I'm scared that Amazon will lock my account as I've seen many people on reddit and Twitter complaining that Amazon locked their account when they tried to redeem a gift card and buy something. and when they speak to customer support it doesn't get fixed.
@@AnthonyGodinho bro, I don't want to use my debit card for personal reasons. do you think if I link my debit card and then use the £1750 gift card that it will be fine? I spoke with a customer on live chat right now and she said I can order and it will be fine
Hi again bro, ok, I understand why you don't want to use your debit card. But yeah, you should be fine based on my own experience. I've done that myself and it wasn't an issue for me.
I dont own a card, but i have 28.43 on my funds. I CANT PAY.
Hi there, if this is the first time you're using your Amazon gift card balance, you will most likely require to enter debit or credit card information.
Given that you don't have a debit or credit card, you can try getting a prepaid VISA credit card which can be obtained from retailers like Walmart and then use it instead of a regular debit/credit card.
Alternatively, you can try and contact Amazon customer service to see if they can verify your account manually and allow you to use your gift card balance without having to enter a debit/credit card.
I DON'T HAVE A CLAIM CODE !!! THAT'S THE ISSUE! NEVER the videos show as we have it here
Hi Ines, if you don't have an Amazon gift card claim code, then did you receive the gift card via email? If so, what are the instructions on the email message?
If there is no claim code, then there should be instructions on how to redeem the gift card using a button in the email message. This will lead you to your Amazon account (you will be required to sign in) and then the gift card amount will be added to your Amazon gift card balance.
Once you've done so, you will be able to pay for your Amazon order using your gift card balance, like I showed you in this video. Hope this helps. If you have any specific questions, please ask and I will do my best to help...cheers!
How to withdraw your gift card balance new update
Hi there, yeah, this is updated tutorial I created on how to pay with your Amazon gift card. Do you have a specific question? Do let me know and I will do my best to answer.
This was not at all helpful. Tried that still doesn’t work
Hi Haley, what is not working for you?
THIS IS USING AN AMAZON GIFT CARD NOT ANY GIFT CARD
It clearly shows on the thumbnail an AMAZON gift card, so yes, it's with an Amazon gift card I'm using in this tutorial.
Can you use your Amazon balance and your card?
Hi Sean, yes, you should be able to use both, you gift card balance and your debit/credit card. You will see these options at checkout (as you can see in this video as well).
