Here’s the Academy Award winning director Asif Kapadia and producer, writer Sutapa Sikdar sharing their experience of the film, early Q&A’s that were rocky, and why the film was special for the actor.
The conversation is part of Irrfan (1967-2020) : A Retrospective that was held from January 26-28, 2024 as part of G5A’s Cinema House.
IRRFAN (1967-2020): A RETROSPECTIVE was both a celebration and an exploration of that artistry. Though known for the gravity of characters he played, he also rocked boats with his AIB sketch, his instinctive comic timing coming from some cosmic source.
