It should be more about using your imagination during a Film since hypocrites opinions don't have any place in them

For those wondering what the creeper took from Billy:
When we see Billy’s ghost later, he has blood on his scalp,
    Implying he took his brain.
This is further hinted at by him posing as a scarecrow, who needed a Brain in Wizard of Oz.

      Great question.
Note this is only my speculation,
      But I have an answer:
The Creeper preys based on fear of his victims, and ultimately seeks to corrupt the innocent, targeting mainly adolescents and teenage boys.
(There’s likely correlation between that subtext and the guy who made the movies, but that’s another can of worms.)
As we see from the first film, the Creeper already had eyes. He didn’t need Darry’s.
He simply wanted them, so he took them.
And as we see in the 2nd film,
the creeper loses his head, but can still survive. But he still needs a new one.
Now back to Billy’s and why the Creeper would take his brain:
Billy is a child, thus more innocent and susceptible to fear than the rest of the Creeper’s victims.
      By taking his brain,
The Creeper is allowed to feel what that fear must feel like through the mindset of a teenager, and knowing he’s corrupting his brain, by making it process all of the evil things he thinks and does.
Just as he took Darry’s eyes, forcing them to see everything he does.
The Creeper takes Billy’s brain, because he’s strengthened by that potent sense of fear, and knowing that it’s an innocent boy’s
brain being forced to process the evil thoughts and actions of the Creeper.

Many things that makes the Creeper more frightening in this one scene alone. The fact that he hunts at day, the fact that he waited for the boy to be lured in when he could have just pounced at him any moment and finally the fact that he gave the father and his brother a false hope that they could catch up to him just to let them hear his screams of horror and anguish. One of the things that makes the Creeper's mythos even more great. He's a beast that thrives on not only the fear of his victims but also the suffering he causes to their loved ones.

This scene is a pretty great way to start a horror movie. The setting is perfect; a very wide cornfield during the sunset with scarecrows being set up and only one of them seems to be alive. The actor who plays Billy in those scene is also awesome as you believe that this is how a kid would act if they were scared out of their mind. I also like how as the Creeper begins to move his feet and Billy starts to run for his life, the Creeper looks like he gives the kid a head start after he leaps into the air. I mean, he could’ve attacked the kid right then and there, but instead he flies around while the kid’s running so he can smell a taste of the child’s fear and then when the kid is about to get out of the field, the Creeper pounces him. Then after getting Billy in his clutches, the Creeper could’ve immediately just flown away, but no, he lets the kid panic and yell for his dad and brother to try and rescue him and continues to let Billy scream as he drags him away. Then the dad and the brother pursue the Creeper, which is builds a sense of hopelessness as you want them to save Billy, but just as it looks like they might be able to catch up to them, the Creeper then jumps into the air and flies away with Billy. I feel like this was a plan the Creeper orchestrated, I mean, it feels like he wanted to make the dad think he could save his youngest son only to then fly away when it seems like Billy could get rescued. I feel like that is what makes a monster scary because they toy with their prey, build up a sense of fear and dread for its victims.

The critcs got both jeepers creepers 1 and 2 films wrong in my opinion. To me these are classics and just as good as the original scream, Halloween and nightmare on elm street. No cliche cheap jump scared but suspense and realism.. I mean look at this beautiful intense scene here.. That head turn gave me nightmares as a kid. Also note how incredible the young lads acting is here.. That voice cracking and screaming is exactly what a kid would be like being kidnapped like this. I guess the only problem is they were both directed by a man who has previous charges of bad child abuse against a 12 year old boy back in the 80s. All I can say is you have to ignore him and don't give him any credit but just at least appreciate the cast they gave us some terrific terrifying performances

This franchise still has a chance to be done right if we got an origin story of the Creeper, or a continuation of the father with the body on the barn. Either way is a win, and would do great at the box office.

Amazing acting and well shot but can we talk about just how fast that damn thing can fly?! It must have been 300 yards in one flap of its wings!!! That's unbelievable

This scene still haunts me. It’s not even simply because of the movie but knowing the directors past gives the scene a whole new meaning. Movie monsters are scary looking but the monsters in real life live inside people. I honestly can’t imagine what it would be like to lose a child to a predator. This movie captures visually how it feels but that real pain… I can’t even fathom why someone would do this. I didn’t boycott these movies like most did but to me they serve as a reminder that the evil human heart is scarier then any monster put on film.

I remember the effects this movie had on me after the first time I saw it when I was 12. I was expecting a campy horror movie about a killer scarecrow because of a comment my dad's friend made. This movie made me feel real fear to the point that I would get uneasy in the dark and scan the sky at night. Refused to watch another horror movie for 4 years.
