Always good to hear Mike talking about his favourite project - Lemmings! 😝
A Great interview. It is shocking that he can remember pixel counts and tech specs all these years later. I'm lucky if I remember what I'm going right now!
Fantastic interview of a legend.
Finally a retro gaming panel interview with good sound quality. Great interview
Kickstart had a dedicated professional sound engineer on staff!
@@AmigosRetroGaming Definately worth every penny :)
Thanks Boat, you're a great interviewer.
@@vix_in_japan Thank you! 😊
Excellent content. Thank you Boat!
@@arcadeages3917 It was a pleasure!
@nivrig casually slides in there.
Is there any more Kickstart 02 content to come? It seems a bit light on the ground! Did Kev Bayliss actually give a talk about pixel art and his time at Rare/Battletoads etc as was the plan?
Yes more content to come. It will all be coming out on this channel, it just takes a while to edit :) Unfortunatly we were unable to do kev bayliss but did a Power PC talk instead.
Why does no one ever bring up Crime Inc when discussing the development of GTA? DMA clearly plagiarised the game demo they were shown when he went for an interview at the company.
No, we didn't. But thanks for playing :)
Gallagher vs rockstar court case google it, more than likely settled out of it since no follow up articles to be seen anywhere
@@Harp00nX Since I was the one who came up with it, and was there during development, I can tell you categorically that it wasn't based on anyone else's game. I was also in the interview with him, and saw the game. We spent less than a minute on it, he took the disk back with him. We didn't "play" the game. It loaded, we walked about a little - that was it.
Rockstar just paid out to shut him up and make it go away. Good for him getting money out of them. I've even spoken to him at a retro event and congratulated him on squeezing blood from a stone.
But DMA and the staff at DMA did not "steal" anyone's ideas. The game was team driven, with ideas coming from team members.
