We sell Mystery Boxes for $23 or $28. The $23 option is a medium flat-rate box filled with as many dumpster dive finds as possible (Non-food items). The $28 comes with as many items that will fit but also comes with a memory foam pillow that retails for $25 online by itself. Either way, you get a great deal we are pretty much charging for the shipping and fees. To pay for your Mystery Box you can send your payment to paypal.me/Volt... Make sure to put Mystery Box in the notes when you pay. We can not guarantee to be able to customize your box but if you would like to leave a few ideas about what you like in the notes as well we will do our best to customize your box. Make sure to allow enough time for your pillow to regain its shape it does take a while. we put it in the dryer by itself on low heat twice with a couple dryer sheets. It does not get very big but it is very comfortable.

Like they do at goodwill bins they separate things to make sure you don’t resale. Or find them. I went to a bin saw a one van shoe outback in donation. I went in found the other one. And asked hey I saw the other shoe outside the guy said I can’t get it we are not allowed. ..what that was a worker wanted the shoes and left it out there. I go and find clothes or shoes because I help people with mental health and addiction and sometimes they need things.

I’m appalled at what is thrown out in America. I’m to old to do what you do but I’m sure happy to know you can get things that are still good and share with people that can’t afford it. I’m also pleased to see that you wear gloves and are so careful as you help others.

See if a church group in your area does quilting. They might be able to use fabric. Or even some nursing/retirement homes do some sewing with clients!!
New underwear is such a great donation. We donate to “Christmas for Seniors” and it’s sad the simple basics they need . Good job

One thing that bothers me about a lot of these thrift stores is the prices being so high for items that were given to them that they turn around and sell for a lot more then they should…and yet they still only pay their employees minimum wage…goodwill is actually considered nonprofit and file the 501c3 tax status exempt because they will employ people who are hard to employ because of being in rehab or prison but what they don’t tell u is that they only pay those folks $2-$3 /hour…that’s totally counterproductive when considering those folks got into trouble generally because they’re financially struggling and resorted to other ways to make money that is considered illegal…so under paying them is gonna lead to them having the same issues…if they can go sell controlled substances and make a ton more then even minimum wage…then why pay them even less and expect them to stay on the right path? That’s taking advantage of someone who is already down and out…it’s not right

Nice Job! When you find only one shoe, you can donate that for people that lost their legs. I saw once a woman making this kind of donation for people that went in wars or something like that. Whenever I find single shoes like you're finding I donate them to an office that fits, makes & rehabs people with their new prosthetic legs & feet. First time I donated they were super excited because they said you wouldn't believe the patients that forget to bring a shoe.
I also take single winter gloves, but I bet they'd love a single boxing glove too.

Stuffing from the pillows can be used in memory bears or other stuffed animals
When you find any clothing, sheets, blankets, any thing fabric can be given to senior centers or persons that make quilts for the homeless are great places to donate any thing fabric make great quilts for veterans or the homeless. So next time you find any clothes, curtains, sheets, or blankets remember to take them with you so you can donate instead of putting them in landfills.

Those broken or semi-broken plastic storage is super for craft and toy storage. Many pots aren't sold with a lid any more and if in an x-piece set, the lids are counted as pieces; back in the day before your days, an x-piece set only counted the pots and lids were considered part of the pot.
The "picker upper thing" at 20:25 is a pooper scooper---

Years ago when I worked retail, we would tear the covers off paperback books. The covers were sent back to the publisher as proof we didn’t sell the books. Then we would get a credit for the books. I think the shoes are probably something similar. Send 1 shoe back for credit, and toss the other

Should try smaller thrift stores. Tj max home goods bath and body works? Sometimes a lot of broken candles but you can make wax melts with them.
Also I think they throw the other shoes out on different days
What they do is throw away 1 shoe, one day and another on another day, what you can do is donate single shoes to amputees, check with the V.A.,they could point you in the right direction, just a thought 😀❤👍💪
Church nursery's or school daycares might be able to use lightly used toys/games.

I love that idea we usually would show a picture of what we make with stuff we find but when you posted this comment I think it had been a while since we had done that. We will try to keep including that in our videos because we do love to share with you guys how we use the food.

Great finds
There are ppl who break a leg skiing or other ways, then they wear a cast for a year sometimes. So, they only need one shoe.
It is a great shame that things just get thrown away in the dumpster that can go to people who really need them. However we live in a throwaway generation. So well done to you for getting all that stuff from out of the dumpster to make use of it.
Well, this generation is going to have to solve the landfill problem.
@@LGAussie Well the throwaway mentality is contributing to climate change. These goods could be reused or repurposed especially since there are many poor people out there. But it's not even that, some people actually enjoy finding treasures too. Also instead of throwing stuff away why not make do with what you have or give it to the homeless or an op shop. Just because an item is out of fashion doesn't mean that it can't be used still.
It can help other people but not you millionaire

Moved to Louisiana 6 years ago and there is NO Savers here 😭 I moved from South Dakota and that was my favorite thrift store.
There are three different store names owned by Savers. Here its Value Village and, I can't remember the name of the third.

We've been finding a lot of good stuff lately.
I so wish I could drive or have friends to drive me to dive; but in warm weather I go on my wheelchair and have duffel bags hanging around the neck brace & dive at $ tree & few other plc in my area. Very limited but fun for me 😎
