  • This is the beginning of a daily series on Nurturing Healthy Posture at Work with Dr. Nikita Cheema, Angela Aichinger, and Jungmin Ahn. We are excited to have you join us in the adventure of nurturing your body at work. It is vital to nurture yourself while working to ensure you can reduce pain, improve concentration/ work quality, and enhance your quality of life.

    Why we created this course?
    Based on our experience with telemedicine in Work Posture Analysis and Live Webinars for Work Posture Education, most patients had improper work postures and settings. Since we spend 4~12 hours a day at work, the hours spent working far exceed the treatment or stretching time needed to reverse the muscle tension created by improper work posture. The pain will come back without changing your habits that contribute to pain. Therefore, we need to be aware of our work posture and develop proper posture habits to enjoy activities with less pain.
    Goals:
    The goals of this course are to:
    Help you become aware of your posture during work and understand how poor posture habits contribute to chronic pain and discomfort.
    Help you develop & implement healthy posture habis, daily stretching, and a body scanning routine.
    A bad work posture is a big issue for our generation and the next generation.
    If you change your own habits, you can influence your children and relatives by setting a positive example.
    Course long-term benefits
    Your negative habits have not developed in the short term, but have been growing and flourishing for many years. If you use the skills learned in this course, healthy work posture will become your new normal.
    Developing new habits will have a positive outcome to:
    Reducing pain and saving medical costs by correcting the cause of your chronic pain.
    Improving your concentration and performance at work.
    Enhancing your ability to do the things you enjoy.
