Great tutorial. I've never understood this, so I haven't really used it. I've always done everything without loops. I might have to spend a lot of time with this.
The original Dr Rex was bassed off of a 80s Akai rack unit sampler. I thought you could not load samples into Rex. Also Reason should make Mimmic work better with Oct Rex.
Rex player can only use Rex files, but you can create your own Rex files using Reason bounce to Rex function. Like this: th-cam.com/video/LWjoVGKOjxw/w-d-xo.html
I am not quite so enthusiastic. You titled your tutorial "Ultimate Guide!", but the explanations are a bit unstructured and chaotic. In addition, you didn't go into the two very important functions "Copy Loop To Track" and "Slice Edit Mode". Also missing are some subtleties, such as the function of the small red lights next to the 8 slots or that "Enable Loop Playback" must be deactivated when working with midi clips, as otherwise the loop will be heard twice during playback (both in Dr. OctoRex and in the midi clip).

@@LioAlva I think you still need Recycle to edit and make your own rex files. They should make it so Mimmic can do it.

Great vid. Any idea why they are giving all the players to people that upgrade today, but not giving ALL the players to people that already upgraded?
