    I've recently had an MRI on my hips and despite the (diabolical) "specialist" telling me they look fine, he said that my feet turn out, so he thinks my hip sockets aren't aligned correctly, meaning a hip replacement!!!
    Needless to say, I'm determined that ain't happening, so I'll incorporate these into my self-help routine tomorrow 💪👍 thank you!

    Years of forcing my turn out for dance can finally start being fixed. While I love doing dance and gymnastics, it did a number on my body growing up.

    I really like this new "style" of videos that are done in an atmosphere that feels more like home. I'm only guessing, but probably most of us who watch your videos don't memorize them, and then take the routines to the gym to do, even if we have access to one. I think this more homey feeling, and less like a gym, helps create a mindset that we can perform most, if not all, of your routines at home with very little gym equipment. Just the "suggestion" that we can do this exactly where we are helps prevent procrastination. The shoulder one I saw the other day using an elastic band with a stair banister was perfect. Great stuff!

      Using home-equipment is the game changer for me. If there's less obstacles for rehab/exercise, the better.

    Golly it’s hard yet I’m no longer tooo scared of pain to have a go.
    Last few months I learnt the difference between movement which is frightening destructive, increasing inflammation and movement which is restorative creating rehab with acceptable discomfort.
    It’s taken a while to figure this out.

    From doing the 90 90 test, each back leg hurts but, instead of cramping up on the outside (c.a. Jenny at 1:06), I seem to get pain and soreness on the inside of the hip instead. Is this still classed as limited internal rotation?

    This is interesting born hypermobile so always had duck feet great at ballet and yoga due to flexibility but then later developed runners knees etc now I strength train which is almost pulling my body inwards and making inner thighs stronger as my inner quads were so weak compared to outer quads - have also been doing mobility for a year now and knees over toes didn’t realise this could help with duck feet

    -Does the SMM program fix duck feet or must we do these separate exercises? --,Same question for toe and foot strength. I'm finding that the SMM is strengthening my toes and feet. I do wear toe separators during workouts and have done some exercises for feet as well. ..but I'm finding them stronger after smm sessions.

      If you have a noticeable difference with any of the exercises you could focus on that side more yeah, if it’s only slight I wouldn’t worry too much, just focus on getting really good at the drills in general as they actually help multiple things!

    I notice my feet do this occasionally and my husband always, especially noticed when walking in front of me and i know it is hurting something as it looks very jarring to his legs as he steps.
    I have metal rods,cage, pins, screws, etc still from well over 30yrs ago when my lower back was shattered in an accident. I also had both knees replaced several yrs ago, and i have good... my brain isnt working for the correct words... straight out no problems bent is great, though at that angle of bending them in while they're twisting some, due to mt ra i build scar tissue under my knee cap, no matter how many times doc scopes it out (3 or 4 so far amd should have done so again but...life's beyond rough right now, no money) so they pop off to the side in certain movement and its very painful..if i lay my leg this way up on a bed, i have no issue with laying down flat,chest down on knee as my back doesnt curve, at least not correctly. The back leg one I'm a bit more nervous to try, just for the knee.
    My husband lands hard on the outside of his foot, esp his heel. We are both overweight so i assumed it's that. But i dont think it is, or not only. He does, at some point, need an L5-S1 fusion, though we're reluctant. So we'll try this , just making sure it doesnt hurt more in his back.
    But, i think, done well, that it will eventually ease some of it. Along witg more core strength.....
    Does any of that makes sense or am i way off base? Approx of course as i know you can't say anything super specific without probably xrays, seeing in person, etc.... :) i totally understand. 😊
    Great channel, always great stuff!! Thanks to all of you!
    (Sorry it so long🤦‍♀️😬)

    • @TomMorrison
      @TomMorrison  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Definitely a tricky one with replaced knees as your body will have to work around things to some capacity but it does sound like you’re doing a great job!!
      For your hubby definitely get stuck into the hips and core to support the back, hopefully not have to go through a surgery or at least prolong being on top of symptoms, SMM would be great to check out

    • @jadedenthusiasms
      @jadedenthusiasms 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @TomMorrison yea, my back surgery wasn't an option as I was basically in 2 pieces... but, for his, we've heard so many say they've not even had much relief, let alone the obvious surgery pain. So, we're doing what we can to keep him from needing that and so far it's going alright. But, will definitely work on this stuff too!! And I'll do what I can keeping my knees from dislocating. I have hEDS, so sometimes I feel I almost can't stretch enough, but know I need to be careful there too.
      But.... we just keep going and do our best.
      Thank you very much for the helpful information :)

      Sedentary lifestyles. Mime is due to too much phone use. As a teen I walked perfectly straight. We Walked everywhere in the 80s and 90s. I always noticed poor posture and duck feet on people especially tall people who slouched. Now at 50, I need to work on my own posturing and outward stance.
