Tara I always had great luck using a small beetle spin with a one inch black mr. twister body. Awesome crappie and perch slayer on light line. Make sure that rascal you are fishing with doesn't throw his fish at your end of the boat too. LOL I saw him spooking your fish. The area you all were fishing was so pretty. Thanks for taking us along. :D

We recently had very good weather, but last night heavy rain and storm, a large branch broke off, certainly with 2 buckets a good 35 liters of plums on it. What a mess. If there is something out there good to eat, she will find it. She is always in the bushes looking for berries and fruits. She definitely has some skills. Don't forget that she is an awesome fish netter😜
I love your videos im 68 and my boyfriend is 77 and we go fishing and its so relaxing we live in Tennessee but i would love to try crabing and jug lines you make it look like so much fun and im glad you take the time for family time and like Keith says we gonna play keep the videos coming im a loyal fan of them

Deer love the muscadines too. I use to have a muscadine vine and a scuppernong vine. I loved eating them straight off the vine. Squeeze them out of the skins. That are so sweet.

I was using a fly rod at age of 6 with dad. We used small bait called Hildabrandt Spinner with a small white strip of Uncle Josh Pork Rind on the hook. About 3” above the hook was a BB size splitshot and then a cork sinker. We jigged them around wood & boat docks. The crappies loved them. Great memories.

Tell Tara the reason you are catching fish is " the person in the front gets first chance at the hungry ones. She has to catch the ones that you leave for her. Then she has to make fish that don't want to eat, bite. Another name for the Maypops is Passion Fruit.

I haven’t seen a maypop since I was a teenager !!!! They grew in the graveyard next to my dad’s church . We ate them green , just the inside .
Leave it to Tara to find some. She is always foraging for berries and fruits.

Great video Keith! I always love catching bluegill with my son. It's a great default fish no matter what else is biting. I love when they're big enough to fillet, but I love cooking whole fry as well.

Try Mrs Wrights herb and garlic, rub filets with olive oil and sprinkle on your herb and garlic let sit about ten minutes and fry them up. My favorite for pan fish and bass. I bake the bass at 375 about 8 mins. Or until flakey depends on how thick they are.

I remember going to the 5 acre lake my dad owned as I was growing up and catching a 5 gallon bucket of brim, nearly every Saturday during the summer. I discovered I was growing up when my father taught me how to clean brim. I think he got tired of having to clean so many! We would scale them and then cut off the head and gut them. My mom would use cornmeal and fry them up in a cast iron skillet, still got that skillet. I loved to eat the crispy fins and tail, and then peel the white meat off of them, never much of a problem with the bones as the meat would easily separate from the meat, only had to get that crispy fish off the rib bones! HA HA We made our own tartar sauce, none of the white dill stuff for me, 2 spoons of Miracle Whip to 1 spoon yellow mustard. Yum, I still love it!
