Thanks for sharing Rhinebeck with those of us that couldn't be there.... It was great to see each day's adventures. That town..... looks straight out of a Hallmark film!!!
I recently moved to Poughkeepsie and though I grew up just a few hours away, I'd never heard of this festival! I've been knitting for about 16 years so going to the Sheep and Wool Festival was basically like being in heaven 😂 I cannot wait to go back next year!!!
Super fun vlog! 👏 I loved how you started walking and then the train station. Much cleaner than I expected. Thanks to you I don’t feel badly about missing Rheinbeck. It’s the people and favorite dyers I wish I could have met. Ohio has a fun Yankee Peddler Faire that’s set in a hilly campground. Thanks Natalie!🥰
Could you not persuade your Rhinebeck partner in crime to start a wee podcast. I looked her up but Rebecca only seems to have a very old blog. I think she is such a friendly person and her knitting is awesome. She could teach us so much. Kindest regards from N Ireland
Hi Natalie, I live in Lisbon and I thank you for this tour. I really love to se it all, from the streets of NY to your sweater at the end. It was really nice. Lots and lots of love from me to you...you are a really sweet girl and I love to watch your channel.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Your sweater is beautiful. I have to say that I would not be able to leave Rhinebeck without buying yarn. To me, that is the purpose of going there. Most of us can't travel there or can't afford to go, so if I did make it there, I would want yarn from there. Also, all of those people who did all the work of dying yarn and setting up a shop there are there to sell you some of what Rhinebeck is all about. It looked like you enjoyed your self and got to hang out with friends, that's wonderful. I think it would be cool if I could get yarn for a sweater at Rhinebeck for my next years sweater to where for Rhinebeck! I'm so glad you could make the trip and share it.
We always hear about this yarn show so it was nice to be able to tag along via this video! It looked like lots of people to me when you were walking in the barn. I can't imagine how crowded it would feel if more people attended. I don't think I will ever have the opportunity to attend so thank you for making this. I don't have fomo! Two years ago I was fortunate to go to my first yarn event in Vancouver. I bought way too much and had a blast! Since then I have moved and closer to more yarn stores and discovered many on the yarn crawl that happened 2 weeks ago!
This is such a good description of navigating this trip Natalie. Two more thoughts. You can usually walk into hotels in NY and use the bathroom. Also, metro north commuter rail is a much less expensive option to Amtrak. It only goes to Poughkeepsie, so you have to figure out transportation from there. I know some people rent a car, carpool, or cab it (but not sure the cost of that, but you could share also).
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip and you got to experience it and your cardigan looks beautiful and thanks for the tip for the bathrooms I love to come up to New York in the winter time during Christmas just to go see the Christmas tree LOL thank you for the video and have a wonderful day......
Thank you for making this video! I have always wanted to go to this festival and taking us along for your adventure gave me a better idea of what to expect.
Thanks Natalie, this is a great video for us who have not yet been lucky to attend. This was full of great info and get me more excited for when i get to go. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for the tour. I hear so much about this festival every year, your video today and yesterday with Rebecca, was a great introduction. What a quaint town, and loved that train station!!! Are all of those animals owned by the local people?
Thanks for sharing your experience. I will probably never get there, but hopefully i will someday make it to DFW fiber fest. The village/town was so quaint and beautiful. Good for you and your self control, not many people would be able to resist all the yarn.
This was my first year at Rhinebeck, it was so much fun! I'm definitely getting the Brussel sprouts next year lol, I had the shrimp from the crab mac and cheese booth 😋 I didn't purchase nearly as much as I thought I would, just a few show colors I was drawn to.
Your video captured the Rhinebeck experience beautifully. I loved the brussel sprouts too. So good. I think you have a future in a lonely planet travel video series. You are a terrific tour guide. Thank you
I just watched all your Rhinebeck weekend videos. I loved the recaps and honestly even seeing the travel logistics was great for me since I haven't been there and wonder about how I could make it work someday.
It was my first time. I definitely need a better plan for next year because I had patterns I wanted to buy for and realized I didnt know what colors I wanted and I really didnt like the colorways I saw. But I have yarn for 2 sweaters
This video was so much fun. I actually felt like I was with you touring all around. Glad you had a good time and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next!!
This little tour was soooo nice! I’m sure I’ll never be able to get there myself and it was so much fun to see all of what they have there! And such a beautiful area! Thanks for sharing it with us!
This was great, thanks! I’ve never been to Rhinebeck, but plan to go one day. Your tour really helped me to see what I can expect. Hopefully it won’t be as overwhelming when I finally get to go!
Thanks so much, Natalie. Very informative. I may be ok doing it by myself next year. 🤞🏽🤞🏽 The amount of effort you put into your videos really shows. I wish you much success.
Very nice video. Looks like a really nice trip for you. Yes Getting taxis etc is difficult here, just not enough business and they go to the airports more frequently. You don't want to get stuck at Rhinecliff at night either, I was picking up one of my sons from there and had a desperate Bard student ask us for a ride back to campus when her ride fell through.. Which we did take her to the Bard shuttle in town, if it had been daytime would have gone to campus since its a nice ride. Love the tour of Penn station, unlike my sons I still haven't been there myself, always took metro north to grand central but I want to try amtrak now i see how Penn looks! That little sitting area is one of our favorites during the fair too! I bought one of the patterns from miss babs online after seeing it there, now I wish I had bought a skein too. Luckily that falafel is right in rhinebeck.
Great vlog - it was so great to see Rhinebeck along with you. Would love love to go one day, but that’s a dream for a way off. I’ll have to stick to UK festivals for now…
Thanks for taking us on your journey..never.been there and was curious what it looked like. Next year will you be staying there...you did so much traveling!
Thanks for sharing that. It's interesting to see how everything looks, even the train stations & the different views. Your Butterswatch cardigan turned out great! I wish there were some way of altering your Lumme, steek the armpits or something to make it fit more comfortably, that one is also amazing and looks great on you. Hope you made some good contacts at Rhinebeck!
I'm glad you had a great day, but as a rabbit owner I can't get over how scared that angora was, she wasn't calmly sat there, her ears are back and with being at a height she's too scared to move :'(
I’m a long term knitter and still can’t understand why people have decided to become “knitting personalities”. I mean, for me, knitting is personal and doesn’t need an audience. Rhinebeck was disturbing because of the lack of social distancing and mask wearing so people could take selfies. I expected more mindfulness from knitters. This isn’t about you, you are lovely. I’m just getting tired of all the hoopla and wish people would just sit and knit, no cameras necessary.
IN your previous video you said you weren’t impressed and didn’t really like it. You’re very lucky you get to go. You weren’t very enthusiastic about it and I always dreamed of going, but after hearing your comments, I guess I never will. Not worth the hype, according to you.
Thanks for sharing Rhinebeck with those of us that couldn't be there.... It was great to see each day's adventures.
That town..... looks straight out of a Hallmark film!!!
Thank you for sharing Rhineback with us. This was by far one of the better vlogs I’ve seen of it. I also really enjoyed seeing NYC
Thank You Natalie for sharing Rhinebeck! It looked like so much fun! Glad you met 🧶 friends ! Love your butter sweater! Arleen

You were so concise and informative. Thanks for the tag along.

That was fabulous thank you! It was so interesting that I put my knitting down so I didn't miss anything.

This was great, thanks! I’ve never been to Rhinebeck, but plan to go one day. Your tour really helped me to see what I can expect. Hopefully it won’t be as overwhelming when I finally get to go!

Here for the wool and your vlog but the peak at the new Penn Station is so cool. The tip for restrooms is Hotel lobbies :)

Wow so beautiful good restraint not buy any yarn. I’m trying to bust thru my stash before buying anything lol
Loved coming along to Rhineback. Hope I can actually go in person someday.
The donut company has a stand on the New Hampshire rest stop they are delicious
Your Rhinebeck tour was fantastic! Last time I was there the apple cider doughnut line was 1 1/2 hours long. Thank you for your time and effort! XO
What shoes were you wearing??? (Black ankle sneaker style?)
I'm so glad it was cooler!
Thanks for sharing that. It's interesting to see how everything looks, even the train stations & the different views. Your Butterswatch cardigan turned out great! I find the sheep so fascinating. Never actually seen one in person, coz theres no sheep in brunei. They will get sun stroke for sure. 😅
Is it really 2 hours train from Manhattan to New York???
How in the world did you manage to leave without getting the YARN! I would have left with bags of it.
Really nice job!
Just popped in to say "HI" but I have to get back to a report. 💕🧶💕
I'm glad you had a great day, but as a rabbit owner I can't get over how scared that angora was, she wasn't calmly sat there, her ears are back and with being at a height she's too scared to move :'(
I hope to be able to go sometime.
