    I think I learned more watching two or three videos of yours than I have in the past five years watching others' videos.
    And also a quick question: the Alt key joins two segments into one? Other times you pulled two segments together just by using select nodes.

    I’m still looking for what kind of computer to buy for this PE Design 11 to do like this . Could you give me some idea?

    • @SewingMachines_UK

      You can get away with something not too expensive. As long as it's a modern windows computer, you should have a good time.
      Currently there is no mac version of the software, so apple is off the table, I'm afraid. (Chrome book as well.)
      The main time you will feel the difference is when you put a high resolution image in the background. If the computer is not the best, you will feel a bit of lag when scrolling, in this instance.
      The computer I use here in my office is by no means the best, but I can use the software totally fine.
      In fairness I've even had lessons with people who have had 10 year old laptops that's work perfectly fine too.

    Thank you for your vidéo ! I have à question, when you make an embroidery like the one in the video, how do you cut the extra thread between every embroidered line without it being damaged ? Because when i cut i can see that the thread will possibly ends up unstitched in time…

    • @SewingMachines_UK
      @SewingMachines_UK  ปีที่แล้ว

      For the most part that's not actually the case. If your machine doesn't trim the jump stitches then cutting them by hand is standard practice, there's nothing additional that is typically done. It does help to use embroidery scissors as they are curved up at the end to prevent you poking or trimming what you don't intend to/

    Hi, another wonderful video from you. Just a picky question, should I do pathing to avoid jumps/trims? or is it not worth it?

    • @SewingMachines_UK
      @SewingMachines_UK  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Thank you very much, that's nice of you to say. I would say that if it's a one off for a customer, there's not much point as it will probably cost you more time than you save on the stitch out. If it's a design that you'll stich out many times, it could be worth doing! All the best.

      Hey! I don't see why not. I actually don't have a copy of 10 to test it on, but I believe it has all of these functions required. Give it a try!

    I'm new in this beautiful world of embroidery.. I want start so badly, I was thinking to buy a PR1 that could be my maximum budget..but the thing that stopped me is the program, somebody says whiteout a program like wilcom e4 it doesn't work well but it's very expensive..the program you use is it good?! All you need is just a common laptop to work with?! And then you plug and load the design on USB flash? Thanks a lot for the great tutorial by the way I hope you will answer ☺️

      Good afternoon!
      I would recommend Brother's PE design 11, as firstly I find it to be simple to use and secondly you'll get a discounted price if you purchase with a machine (from us at least. It's £659 down from £1099). I really love this program and it will work with basically any laptop, I've even had customers on very old laptops who have been able to use it with no problem.
      Yes you can just save to a usb stick or connect the cable to the laptop and send straight from the machine!
      Let me know if you want any more info!
      All the best,

      Hi jpeg should be fine, but if in doubt I know that it also accepts .png and also .gif. Make sure you are trying to open the image from the image tab.
      Good luck!

      I believe that the whole video was made in PE Design 11 - Digitising software. If I do ever open an image before bringing it in, I typically use a free image editing software called paint.net, there I can make any adjustments before I bring it in for digitising.
