The iPhone just does what editing softwares have been able to do for ages... if you are really at the point where you are considering buying a gimbal, but you don't mind if it looks more zoomed and slightly unnatural, just use stabilisation in post-production like Premiere Pro's Warp Stabiliser. If you are not using a software that has a stabilisation feature, you probably don't need a stabiliser.

Well phone stabilizer isnt actually a "stabilizer". Its more like pre-prossesing using AI to crop video so it would be look stabil. Basically like using google photo to stabilize video.
This should be repeated to compensate for the crop that the in camera stabilisation applies. It would be interesting to see if there is a noticeable lack in clarity with comparible fields of view.
Wait, did you use the same camera for both tests? Cause the one on the gimbal has three cameras on it and if you used the other one it’s at a disadvantage due to that one having only two.
