Remember when sims developers actually put effort into giving premade sims some memories, significant family trees, meaningful relationships, and overall a dynamic life so you didn't have to spend time doing your own storyline? 🤭

Yes, because a lot of Sims have names that are puns, double meanings or slang words. For example, there is a very ambitious Sim called Wei Keane (way keen), or another one that is implied to have died prematurely, called Earl E. Demise (early demise). Stuff like that is very hard to translate, but if you keep the original names, people who do not speak much English will not get the implication. A mole is an animal that lives in tunnels underground, but in English-speaking countries, it is also a slang term for a spy. In other countries, this connection might not exist, but everybody knows who James Bond is and would understand the reference, and that the character is also supposed to be a spy. The only annoying thing about this is that it is really hard to talk about the Sims with a fan from another country. English is not my native language either, and most of the time I have no idea which character is which because all the names are different 😂

My theory is that John Mole was inspired on Neo from Matrix. In the matrix trilogy, we can see that the outfits that Neo uses when he is inside the Matrix, are similar to John Mole dairy outfit, also Neo and John Mole have similar hairstyles. Also, we know that Keanu Reeves plays as Neo in the matrix trilogy, and fun fact, Keanu has Chinese ancestry, and we can see in John Mole pictures that her mother wears a oriental dress. Also Neo it’s not exactly a spy, but he's kind of it: he knows stuff that spy would know (like he’s good using guns and he’s very well fighting, almost perfect), so maybe that’s why the game suggest that John Mole is an spy. We also know that in the Matrix trilogy: Matrix it’s program, a fake reality where people were connected to it and the government lied to them and make them think that’s the reality, that’s the real world, but there’s people who could disconnect from this fake reality and see the real world. Neo is one of those people. Maybe the truth and the mystery that John Mole knows it’s that The Sims it’s a simulation, a fake reality (and it’s ironic that it actually is lol), and he knows the truth of it. It could be possible because there are Easter eggs and interactions that suggests the sims lives in a simulation, correct me if I’m wrong, but I remember that in Sims 4 there is a interaction that makes a sim suggest to your sims that they live in a simulation. So that’s it, that’s my theory

Well Freetime did introduce the genie lamp. Of of the removed wishes is to get younger, but unlike the elixir this wish would bring her back to teen(or just a stage I can't remember) since this was removed those memories might be just leftovers. Or maybe the devs just made a mistake. The is a mod on MTS that brings this wish back

It's quite tricky to make it its own thing rather than just being a mix of fortune and popularity. But if Pleasure managed to be its own thing despite being a combination of Romance and popularity, I don't see why we can't do that with Power too. So far, I have an idea that Power is an "evil" aspiration that has a distinction for its wants to make enemies while trying to gain some money on the way and influencing other people to do something. And one of its aspiration benefits literally have you be able to rub out other Sims through a special interaction. I'm not sure if that sounds good enough. What do you think?
@@missplayer30 That sounds interesting, like an aspiration that would suit someone like Buzz Grunt or Tybalt Capp. Maybe with a high aspiration or as a benefit sims will fear you, so they won't initiate mean interactions and they will be more willing to do commands. Promotions would be more difficult since friends are required; a benefit could be added to further decrease the requirement. Did you say the top benefit will allow sims to put out a hit on someone? Cause damn, that's heavy metal. Too bad it is impossible to mod this; im pretty sure the current Power aspiration uses Grow Up code
Interesting video! I've never really played any premade sims, except the basegame neighborhoods families, so I have literally zero knowledge of the others. It's nice to learn new info when I've been playing this game for at least 14 years! But a quick question: when you first load the game, aren't all premade sims' turn on's and off's randomized? Correct me if I'm wrong, but if they're randomized, there's really no point in telling us, the viewers, the turn on's and off's? Since they're different for everyone and usually make no sense (such as basegame premades having turn on for witchyness or married couples hating each others hair colour etc).
The turn-ons and turn-offs, and also the lifetime wants, are randomised in Pleasantview, Strangetown and Veronaville because those 3 ‘hoods are Base Game and the attraction system came in later expansions. The sims from later ‘hoods from Nightlife onwards have preset turn-ons and turn-offs, although I must say that usually Maxis didn’t really put much thought into them tbh.
Victor looks similar to Vincent from the sims 2 life stories 😅 but I suppose that’s just because sims 2 was limited with customisation so it’s hard to make sims look all super different 😅

I love the Sims 2 don't get me wrong but, the developers are known to mess up story lines and even family trees. Brooke family is a good example with two Skipps. That or the cheese was magical. I also like how no one has mentioned the cow plant. The cow plant is an option because it makes life sauce (source) from eating other sims which does extend the life span by an ammount.

@@missplayer30 That sounds interesting, like an aspiration that would suit someone like Buzz Grunt or Tybalt Capp. Maybe with a high aspiration or as a benefit sims will fear you, so they won't initiate mean interactions and they will be more willing to do commands. Promotions would be more difficult since friends are required; a benefit could be added to further decrease the requirement.
Did you say the top benefit will allow sims to put out a hit on someone? Cause damn, that's heavy metal. Too bad it is impossible to mod this; im pretty sure the current Power aspiration uses Grow Up code

Interesting video! I've never really played any premade sims, except the basegame neighborhoods families, so I have literally zero knowledge of the others. It's nice to learn new info when I've been playing this game for at least 14 years!
But a quick question: when you first load the game, aren't all premade sims' turn on's and off's randomized? Correct me if I'm wrong, but if they're randomized, there's really no point in telling us, the viewers, the turn on's and off's? Since they're different for everyone and usually make no sense (such as basegame premades having turn on for witchyness or married couples hating each others hair colour etc).
The turn-ons and turn-offs, and also the lifetime wants, are randomised in Pleasantview, Strangetown and Veronaville because those 3 ‘hoods are Base Game and the attraction system came in later expansions. The sims from later ‘hoods from Nightlife onwards have preset turn-ons and turn-offs, although I must say that usually Maxis didn’t really put much thought into them tbh.

Victor looks similar to Vincent from the sims 2 life stories 😅 but I suppose that’s just because sims 2 was limited with customisation so it’s hard to make sims look all super different 😅

I also like how no one has mentioned the cow plant. The cow plant is an option because it makes life sauce (source) from eating other sims which does extend the life span by an ammount.
Some here in the comments says it’s because she went to university and therefor aged up from teen to young adult instead of just to adult, I don’t know though

The grilled cheese aspiration has influenced to me in such a way that as soon as my sims are able to make grilled cheese, I will have them cook grilled cheese most of the time.

you can use your aspiration points to buy the perk for an additional aspiration (free time) and choose the grilled cheese aspiration that way too
I have a feeling John Mole is a spy for the good side despite his name as he shows no evidence of being a villain type Sim but the question still there is how did he become a spy? Is his entire family lineage spies or just him? As Natasha says he's mysterious.

hennycolada If I remember correctly, in the sims 2, the baby can have on colour as a baby and then it can change to darker or lighter sometimes. Or if it’s sims 4 i’m thinking of? I know I watched someone play and they got a baby that was a lot darker than any of the parents but when he aged up he got lighter skin.

I know right? I never took her seriously as a child, but I'm glad I looked into her later on! I've seen that in my game as well, for some reason the UK version of the game that shipped had 'Louie' instead of 'Louis'!
