Hans Gansch ist ein perfekter Trompeter und kommt als Mensch ausgesprochen sympathisch rüber. Und: Seinen Bilderbuchansatz hätte ich gern! :-) Wenigstens für einen Tag....:-)
i heard him at the schagerl festival too! he played with the "austrian brass connection" and with the "brassband OÖ".. they practised half a day and in the evening they played the concert and although hans gansch played perfectly ! he is amazing!!!
I've seen him live. He is a great Trumpet and Cornet player. He has just the right amount of vibrato. That is how it is taught in the cornet method by Arban.
You clearly haven't heard some of the great American Cornet Soloists of today. Or even Philip Cobb (who is english). Old School english players use the vibrato technique in their playing but more and more we are seeing a hybrid between the cornet and trumpet sounds. Seeing as most players play both instruments today.
im looking for the sheets from this song somebody some suggestions? btw great song always listen this when im testing sound in a concertroom and put it a litttttle louder than normal;)
What? Have you heard the likes of the New York Staff Band? Where the Solo row of Cornets all graduated from either Curtis, Juilliard (or Both), Manhattan and Guild Hall? All in Trumpet Performance. Philip Smith, grew up a Cornet player. You my friend are the clown.
Hello everybodi! What's the name of this solo? I really would like to play this solo. I'm a musician in Switzerland and I also play cornet in a Brass Band. Is name is ECV. Thanks for your answer
So many trumpet players focus on the high register. It is a treat to hear someone play low notes so beautifully on the cornet.

This was played at the European Brass Band Championships in Groningen (the Netherlands).
I was there.. :D
Beautiful playing. Such control. A demonstration in fantastic musicianship.
Magic Trumpet Channel (Stéphane PISO, French trumpeter on You Tube) say : Hans GANSCH is a very good trumpeter. In French we say : "Quel talent !"

Wat een topper. In ieder geval niet zo'n iel cornetgeluid. Komt erg dicht tegen trompetsound aan. Helemaal goed.
DER BENCHMARK... So und nicht anders hat ein Cornet zu klingen!
fantastic what a musical performance. Nice controled vibrato although the sound is to trumpet like really.
Bravo Hans!
That mute sounds much better with you using it than me!
Very nice indeed :D

Look at Carlton playing at 1:06 on the left!
Wie heißt dieses wundervolle Stück?
I don't. I have plenty of great British musician friends. I'm an American who grew up in the Brass Band world. And loves it.
it´s called "song and dance" and i think it´s from phillip spark
I don't really like this piece but his playing is amazing! And yes, he only plays schagerl instruments. I can understand him. :)
What is the brand of the cornet played by Hans Gansch?
...schöner Schmarrn, mit Verlaub!

Please don't think that awreckingball is what british musicians are like. It's embarassing to see such stupidity.
That's just not true.
