Say what you want, Selim played his cards right. In true Ottoman fashion, he earned the throne.
I don't know why but it was so satisfying to watch chahangir got what he deserves... on the top by Selim. Because chahangir is such a spoilt brat... Ungrateful child... He got all the privileges so he blame his mother who gave him all that. If it wasn't for her his favourite brother Musthafa's mom would have killed them all by now. It doesn't matter Mustafa loves them now but if he accents the throne Mahidevran will surely kill them all... Everybody knows this including him. And I don't know why everyone hates Salim . It's the game of thrones if you didn't play your cards well you'll end up dead. He did what it takes to survive. Despite them all he actually obeyed his father and mother. So he succeeded

Selim learned at an early age the only way to survive. Keep your head down and your mouth shut. He never wanted to be Sultan, but he knew he had to win in order to keep himself and his family alive. He played the game of thrones and won.
Cihangir is so annoying
He is the least suitable prince to be emperor in this story.
Mustafa is the most deserving, even taking into account that he is the son of Mahidevran.
He has the ability to discern things for himself.
I feel like mihrimah and Rustem have a weird love hate thing throughout the series. They are cruel to eachother but they both take it and make it empower them. They are so similar its weird.

Why are they all against selim
Because he was considered the least worthy prince, since he was considered an incompetent drunkard who was not capable of leading the empire effectively. Plus the fact that he was a prince was enought to gain animosity as all the other factions would naturally oppose him due to the inter-prince rivalry.
@@abdurrehmannasir5963 yes but he was not that bad he had complex towards beyezid beacuse he wasent as good as sport as he was and he had a hard time seeing blod i feel for him. Chingair seemed to have been in love with Mustafa.
He might be least competent prince but he had most intelligent sultana, all his brother' sultanas were dumb
@@katarinasvensson9801 All the Princes lived a miserably life, before and after the abolition of the Fraticide law. Selim had an especially hard time because he was outshined by all his brothers which meant in his eyes that he had practically no chance to win the throne. As such he in his earlier years spent his time with wine and women since he believed he was going to die anyway. It was only after he achieved some support from a few key figures like Sokullu and Nurbanu that he actually tried to win. So yes he and all princes are sympathetic beings.
As for Cihangir, yeah he was just unnaturally close to Mustafa in the show. I would however believe him if he said that Mustafa was the best candidate for the throne but he goes a bit too far; in that he completely opposes Selim.
Selim was useless n weak. Suleiman chose the worst son who doomed the empire. He wasn't evm the dust of feet of mustafa n mehmet
