This business class on an intra-European route FAR outshines carriers like BA, LH, AF, and KL to name a few. Both the hard product of those carriers offer economy class seating with a 30 inch pitch on narrow bodies. The food is typically meh. There is simply no comparison. The A330 is great for flights under 5-6 hours, particularly day flights - to suggest it’s just ‘OK’ strikes me as being overly critical. Super pitch and extra reclining seats and nice food. Try getting any of that on the carriers I listed above! My recent business class KLM flight from AMS to ATH reminded me of why I absolutely avoid European carriers for shorter flights (including Heathrow-Cairo!).
Did you just compare a Tk wide body to a KLM/LH narrow body? If LH or KLM fly regionally with wide body, the seat is definitly better than this. But where TK shined here was the crew! They were ABSOLUTELY flawless! Cannot find that on EU carriers so offten. And yes, TK A321neo would have offered a better comfort and entertainment system.
@@got2flyfar I’ll disagree on the A321 - I’ve flown that aircraft as well as the A330 between IST and JED a number of times. The A321 isn’t bad (it reminds me of Hawaiian A321s that fly from the US West Coast to Honolulu but with a bit more pitch) but it is a narrow body. Frankly, I have never flown any European wide body within Europe or around the North African side of the Med - only narrow bodies with 3 seats across and the middle seat blocked. No comparison. I agree that some of TK’s A330s are a bit worn, but the roominess makes all the difference to me. The food is quite good, as well.
@@pacmanc8103 There we have it: I would rather have the new A321neo, and you would rather have a work A330 :) That's good enough for me. Nobody says people cannot have different preferences. I don't see the point in the angled (it is not lie flat) bed as you don't have time to use it. 30 mins before landing you have to fold it, 15 mins into the flight you cannot unfold it and service takes more than 1 hour and starts a little less than 1 hour after departure.
@@got2flyfar I get the issue with lie-flats (reminds me of the older LH business class) but I only fly them for a few hours. The transatlantic flights are on the 787-9 (private but a bit tight) or the 777 (loads of room but very old school).
Great food on Turkish Airlines. The seat is better then eco seat you find in europe Airlines Business.Great work
🤤 yumm
