Everyone in the stadium knew KU was going to run the ball and still we get almost 400 yards. So completely appropriate on the day when Tony Sands is added to the ring of honor. I’ve heard the same thing about his game against Missouri.
On point and special about Sands. It's one thing to run the ball but when the defense knows you are going to run is another and we did it well just like Tony RCJH!
It was great to see KU dominate, but I was still worried for a while because of how explosive ucf can be. Very understandable to see the betting spread, especially after Bean’s day at Texas. Definitely agree with you all regarding preparation.
Even more than using the clock is knowing the game situation and when to take a knee. Heard on Late Kick that Mario did the same thing once before at Oregon.
Hopefully this gives Bean the confidence. I love JD6 (don't take this the wrong way) and would love to see JD6 back but he is holding KU back, he needs to be a back up the rest of the year. Case in point UCF qb wasn't 100% and the announcers were commenting is UCF qb #1 at 75% as good as qb #2 at 100%. We cannot rely on on JD6 and he needs to take a backseat or he will hold KU back, he's not going to get back to the JD6 who was consistently a difference maker. Bean doesn't throw well long, gonna have to implement the short throw game and let's ride the running game-mix those 2 and play w/out JD6 being a thought and let him be a threat but not a #1...RCJH!
This week, yes. Next week, bye. Ou? Unlikely. Shutting down for the season? Highly unlikely. The only factor that might sway that is if KU continues to win convincingly, and there’s some thought to redshirting. Even that is a massive stretch given that JD6 had that opportunity 2 years ago, and burned it on a team that was losing. 2 months is a lot of time to heal, even a back strain. Treatment will have him ready. It’s definitely a luxury to not need to worry as much.
The problem with sitting Jalon is how does he take it if we do sit him? If he’s upset he could easily transfer and go to a another school like UCLA back home. If you don’t think Chip Kelly would take Jalon in a heartbeat you’re crazy.
While Chip would take him - who wouldn’t, Chip already has a stud freshman. The question is not so much would Chip take him as it is why would JD6 want to transfer to potentially be the backup for the rest of his career? Mostly y though it undervalues what Coach Leipold is building and his leadership.
@@johnlee7085 I don’t see Moore beating JD6 out for the starting job. The kid has a 53% completion percentage and could learn from Jalon for one year before retaking the starting gig. I don’t wanna see Jalon leave I’m just saying if we were to bench him while he’s healthy it could bother him enough to transfer back home while still playing for a great coach, a top 25 school, who plays a style that fits Jalon’s play style.

Go KU!!!!!!!!!!
Hat tip to the OL too. As great as 185 after contact is, that means there was 200+ yards before contact. That’s huge holes.

KU “favorite”. Love it 🎉❤💙💛🏈
ST has the potential to get a player a Sunday contract. Love that Trevor is bouncing back from a season of self inflicted derailment.
"dont snap the ball until there less then 10 seconds left on the play clock" looks at Miami.....and Mario Cristobal

Isn’t Caldwell one of the DL players that redshirted last year in order to come back for this year?
Getting more physical was an emphasis in the offseason. Do you think ucf is an effective offseason conditioning program away from being more relevant?
Interesting that ucf is only 100 yards fewer than KU.
Lots of deep rotation with less incentive.

JD6 should be back up until he is 100% fully, we need him at 100% the KU offense is a completely different animal with him at 100%.
