  • The golden state is facing heavy snow and, in some areas, nearly an entire month’s worth of torrential rain in two days. From flood rescues to strong wind gusts creating blizzard-like conditions to Los Angeles even experiencing its first blizzard warning in 30 years, the region is experiencing winter weather on all fronts. The weather system is now headed east toward Oklahoma City, Wichita, and Kansas City.

In older neighborhoods, the small trees planted have become very large, with shallow roots. Once the ground becomes sufficiently saturated, these trees topple over. I saw four like this yesterday on the west side, some made a two lane street into one for awhile. Keep an eye on the trees, and take note of which direction they're leaning.

Expect freezing 🥶 cold temperatures in places that never had it, and hotter temperatures in places that never had it also. People were excited for rain but due to being uneducated don’t understand how droughts effect the land and soil that typically soaks up the excess water. Plus building where valleys, deserts and rivers use to be.

    • @MsAnpassad

Yes, you are right. That water isn't going to help much, it's just going to wash any remaining fertile topsoil out to sea, unless something have been done about it. But considering that it's USA, I highly doubt it.
