There's an official FFG rulings forum and this is literally the first question they answered :P You will still receive the additional Trickshot die, because Q'ira does not effect the presence of the obstacle for the sake of the attack as a contained event, only the ship performing the attack. I'm loving these, Dión! I know you've touched on nubs in several of these Quick Tip videos, but have you considered one that was ALL about nubs? When they count, when they don't. Can the nubs be off the mat? All that good stuff.
This is in the rules reference, "If a decloak fails, the ship is returned to its prior position before it attempted the decloak and the cloak token is not removed."
You keep the token. It's good when using Cloaking Device if you want to remain cloaked but you roll a focus in planning, you can select a boost or barrel roll that deliberately fails.
Help needed! If a ship is at range 0 to another ship but its orientated in such a way so that the other ship is actually at range 1 in arc, can it still shoot? My gut instinct was no but I can't find anything in the rules reference that prevents the shot. All help appreciated.
you can drop a bomb during the same turn (not a game term, it's referred to as round) that you decloak - and even during the same phase, if you drop the bomb first and decloak afterwards. not the other way around, though. you can also drop or launch bombs during the same turn that you decloaked, if you drop or launch the device during another phase.
The rules reference states you may not drop or launch a device during the same phase you decloaked. It means if you dropped or launch a device you now cannot decloak. The sentence does not specifically need to state you cannot do both in one phase, both ways round, for the ruling to be apparent. Otherwise you are correct, you can drop and decloak in the same round
@@Fredgamer4 there is a specified timing. you cannot drop or launch a device during the same phase you decloaked. there is nothing preventing you from decloaking during the same phase you dropped or launched a device, though. the rules reference does not say you cannot drop or launch a device during the same phase you decloak. if it did, it would stop you from decloaking and dropping or launching devices completely, but it doesn't. 🙂
Hey. You can drop / launch a device the same round (turn) as you decloak, but not during the same PHASE. EG: Emon Azzameen has a cloaking device that fails at the start of the Planning Phase, so that's when he decloaks. He can then drop a bomb during the System Phase, being a different phase.

For you So I have a cloak token... set dial, then system phase I decloak ( boost 2) take an evade token ( whisper) Now activation phase ( let’s say I did 3 straight) move and now for my action can I take cloak as my action ( it’s on my action bar) So Can I decloak, boost or barrel, move and recloak? "Can you decloak and drop a device in the same phase?" The devil is in the details of the wording + ability que. Not if you decloak first. But you can drop or launch a device then decloak. Being "Disarmed" doesn't prevent the dropping or launching of devices.
I would have to agree. In order to make the players choose either Device drop or Decloak, the rules should say: Decloaking: You can't decloak in the same phase you dropped a device. Dropping A Device: You can't drop a device in the same phase you decloaked. In both Decloaking and dropping a device rules it only iterates that a device can't be dropped in the same phase as was decloaked.. Though maybe it's not even an error. Dropping a device first gives you only one place for it by default while first being able to decloak would give 3 additional potential places to drop a device.

You cannot launch or drop a device the same turn you De-cloak. While cloaked you can!

Question then that wasn't covered. If a cloaked ship becomes ionized, can it still de cloak during the system phase?
