He had written The Great Gatsby and his life was just as empty and meaningless as that of Gatsby. He died from alcohol poisoning and at his funeral NO ONE had hope. The emptiness of the lives of our family members upset us. So after the funeral we sat down and wrote Satisfied.
I wrote Satisfied in 1989. I dropped out of college because I was sick with lymphoma. Shawn and I went to live with his father. Some of my friends thought I was making a major mistake going to live with my father-in-law. My roommate called him a male chauvinist pig! But I felt peace about my choice and I knew it was God's will.
I didn't think so.. If You once got the old time, genuine "religion" you won't receive it, handle it or preserve it in God's Holy will and Spirit! And you will for sure, not be satisfied!
